This class has gotten too much presence already and it’s getting boring. They need to be brought down already. I dont care if you people would say that it is a hard profession to play but the fact that it’s getting too much representation just serves my point that we need to nerf it. This class has too much regen that they don’t even need to use their healing skill. Why the hell do they have water attunement and a healing skill at the same time? That just doesn’t make sense. Please do something about this anet before you lose some players. Not everyone is interested to play this class.

Well, celestial amulet is not going anywhere. It seems. But that doesn’t mean anet should ignore how overly represented this class is. It needs to be brought down. If they won’t delete celestial then at least shave off the heal and regen that an ele gets when attuning to water.

In my opinion its too much self might stacking/might too long duration in some cases and too much passive condi cleanse (every proffesion but necro, not just ele). I think ele is the strongest violator of those two, thats why he is considered the most op atm. Some could argue about engis … but problem there are turrets.

Nope. I’ve been here since BM was op as kitten. I just started playing wvw more now because of how boring pvp has become. I dont get it why anet made this huge mistake to give ele an upper hand again. Seriously, not everybody wants to use magic and elements. A mage-like class is not everybody’s cup of tea. Some people are being forced to play this because of how strong and OP it is. The amount of dps it has is too much for it’s ability to tank and heal. Everybody knows that. So stop defending it. Not everybody is having fun right now.

Just do a lot of people a favor and nerf this cursed class already. It’s almost a year now since anet gave the opportunity for this class to rule the meta and it is boring a lot of people. Get a kittening clue, anet.

There’s a need for a new meta. I don’t care whatever class would replace eles but just kittening kick them out of that throne already. It’s lame and so god kitten boring. Seriously, not everybody wants to play with magic-based powers. Some of us enjoy playing with realistic damage like guns, bows, and swords.

Wrong. Eles were strong during the first months of gw2 and they got nerfed and they were buffed during the last quarter of 2013. It is almost a year now that ele has been ruling the meta. Gw2 needs a new set of meta classes to attract more players. They can’t just let a class be strong for a really long time. They will bore a lot of people and push them to go somewhere else.

+1 to that. Ele itself hasn’t recieved many game changing updates, but the changes to gear/runes/sigils made it as strong as it was around launch.

A slight nerf to might stacking would probably bring several meta builds down a notch while keeping them viable.

This class needs a huge nerf. It’s time for this class to be placed at the bottom tier. All classes had a share of that misfortune so i dont see anything wrong for this class to get the same kind of punishment. We need a god kitten new set of classes to climb up at the top of the meta.

How is it not OP that a class can have 600 Hp/s regen, at least 60% protection uptime, and burst 4-6k heals every ten seconds, while also having enough damage to kill a heavy golem as fast as an SD Thief (yes, I’ve ran this test). It’s disgustingly overpowered, and it’s not due to cele. I could do all the same things with Valkyrie or knights ele. Just because ele WAS underpowered doesn’t mean it deserves to be OP now. Also Nex, calling people “noobs” doesn’t help your argument.

Also kitten (booms), if I lose will I have to pay 20g?

wow that build must be nice, and now lets get back to reality.

signet heals for 276/attack, with regen that is maybe a total of around 450-500/s

you have a lot of protection because you have the lowest base health and the lowest armor in the game.

4-6k burst heals every 10 seconds? you get around 3-4k heal when you attune to water and use a dodge roll for evasive arcana.

and if you want to kill a heavy golem as fast as a thief you have to use all your cooldowns for the burst while the thief can just auto attack. and its your own fault for not running traits in the damage lines but acro…

elementalist is even more op then in the old double ele meta atm, gj anet balance team.

This is pointless. These people will keep defending this class. I get it that it was garbage for a year but it’s gotten its place on the spotlight for too long already. Give that spot to other professions. Rangers and probably mesmers have been out of the meta for more than a year now. It wouldn’t hurt for these classes to get the comeback that they are itching for. Top teams would even choose to play 2 eles on their team and that is just as clear as day that this class is overperforming.

ofc mesmer has been out of the meta lol. i rarely see teams running mes+thief comps, i only encouter such comps in like 50% of the matches.

rangers are not bad at all, they just dont have what this meta requires. i have fought many good celestial spirit rangers and they never complained a single time.

this meta is the best balanced meta since release

and so is elementalist. ele is in a good spot with hambows and engis and should not be nerfed at all or you will ruin the balance between the bruiser classes.

in fact necros or mesmers can deal with eles very well. if you cant win against eles then let somebody fight them who can, the same way that engis should avoid fights with condi necros.

Besides, i dont play much pvp now and when i do, i play on my lvl 10 ranger and he is an asura and the name is not even prince valentine. It would take a really long time to kill my ranger because he is not a zerkbow but a bunker. And also, i am on a vacation right now with my family and i didn’t bring my laptop with me. Last time, i played gw2 i was commanding DR and capped the whole eb.

You obviously tuned out what I wrote. Did I ever say you were a bearbow? I believe I even mentioned what kind of ranger you play in my last post. Pay attention. And good job tip toeing around my first paragraph about what they actually changed about the ele profession…And what actually needs to be shaved down. Learn the game before crying nerf.

Im fairly certain ele has nerfs incoming already, the devs have recieved a lot of feedback on the issue. Of course the faceroll OP eles will defend their class, the class attracts those kind of people these days, the ones that want to be mega OP. have fun getting nerfed next feature patch, I’m sure its going to happen.
