1. Ranger. Idc about pet anymore, but please make bows better, because archery is nice, but they’re useless compared to melee at the moment.

Please keep your post to just your 3 votes. If you have any questions, you may ask them here as well.
As I have already posted the professions I feel are in need of most attention I would like to take the opportunity to accept this offer.
Why have certain professions been allowed to degenerate into their current state?
Without properly functioning professions there is no game to be played, period.
Why is your team asking for feedback when it largely goes unreciprocated?
I can’t count the number of times we have been asked for feedback as a community only to be ignored by your own. I know you guys want to avoid our wrath at all costs, as I remember the “big changes” incident shortly after release for Ranger and was furious myself when this amounted to GS blocking projectiles and a few projectile finishers being added. We cannot be left in the dark every single update and be expected to agree with what you consider as necessary changes after being told you are reaching for “low hanging fruit” moments before. That kind of behavior only antagonizes the community and causes loss of credibility.
How long must we “roll with the punches?”
The constant fine tuning of builds that do work vs. those that don’t is what is getting us in this situation to begin with. It would be nice to see a checklist of some kind now and then. I personally would love to know whether or not these suggestions are being taken seriously and what their current progress is.
Can we expect to see more surveys such as this one?"
It is blatantly obvious that each party has very different objectives here and that needs to be rectified. I think this survey is a big step in the right direction and it would be a tragedy to see this form of communication die off as it has in the past. Use us as the focus group to determine profession related priorities! We all know you have your own priorities as well, so if you have to lay down the law and make us choose between option A or B then so be it. This is a plea more than anything. Let us in once in a while…

Such a small sample….Anet really need to get this out to more people. Hopefully they also account for profession numbers and bias.
Well, Ranger and Ele are the two most in need of help. So at least it got it right (lolbias).
1. Mesmer – so many bugged or broken skills (iWarden, Phantasmal Haste, etc.)
2. Necromancer – these guys are sometimes banned from dungeons.
3. Ranger – these guys also get banned in dungeons.

First and second is putting it mildly. They make up more votes than all the other professions combined.
1. ranger
2. engineer

I really wanted to so engineer first, since the horizontal progression is horrible with them, but ranger is so hated it had to be first.
1. Ranger
2. Mesmer (they have some bugs that need sorted out)
3.
Those are the only two classes I play so not sure what needs to be sorted out with the rest. But I know ranger needs help.

1. Ranger. Currently they are good at nothing.
2. Engineer. Currently they have a lot of good specs, but they have a lot of garbage skills when they don’t spec “properly.” See: turrets, gadgets.
3. Necromancer. No mobility to get in and out of fights, no panic button, no stability, no vigor, no blocks. It’s such a pain to move around on this class and when it gets into a fight, it’s often just a sitting duck.
1. Necromancer (more life steal options!)
2. Elementalist
3. Ranger
1. Ranger (Pets have so many problems)
2. Elementalist
3. Mesmer (Non PU stuff)
2. Necromancer
3. EngineerFor those who sais Elementalist needs help might want to search around a little. Elementalists are at a pretty good spot in PvE and WvW. Not sure about spvp.
I don’t even… Wat…
This is definitely a joke. No one uses ele in pvp. Eles in wvw is literally fire field and meteor, and gets recognition in pve because of abusing one fgs skill against a walled-target?
How on earth is anet going to sift through this?
Ranger and ele are the only classes that need extreme help right now. It really is as simple as that.
My apoligize then, was talking to a real life friend who plays ele as main before making the previous post and he cant stop talking about how good eles are in pve and wvw. Not to mention ive seen some eles making me want to make a ele myself.

I wonder if they’ll take count of the respective player base. As now, apart from thieves, guardians and warriors, all the others are exactly in their respective order according to the profession breakdown in the first year infographic.

Tbh, the AI of the pets is unacceptable. Do something.
I said this in Chris’s CDI announce thread… but I want to put it here too.
Seeing as how the Ranger is certain to win the vote, I’d suggest, Ms. Murdock, that you try to talk to whomever programs the AI for y’all and get some info from them, or at least make sure they read the official thread on Monday.
Rangers have enough wrong with them that we don’t need to waste time complaining about/suggesting fixes for Pet AI that have zero feasibility to ever be fixed/implemented.

1. Engineer. I’d like to be able to play a pistol-wielding Engineer, but the flamethrower is so good in comparison, there’s no real choice.

1. As have been said already many times, its really frustrating fight against perma stealth thief in combination with high damage on not full tanky classes.
2. Personally i like my ranger, playing combination of condition/power/toughness, short bow damage and survability with proper skills seems ok. Just longbow damage seems low, pretty much only number 2 sklil does dmg while its still pretty low for the channel time, even while shredding armor. And ofc pets have hard times be useful in massive WvW battles. Never tried but it doesnt seems like pet build is viable in WvW if they die instantly. Also maybe more survability to spirits? They are ok as long as noone hits them, but in wvw with all those aoes or bosses like Tequatl they just die instantly and dont feel viable.
3. Not played, but seems in general the have very high hp and burst damage at same time.

You REALLY need to put something about this IN-GAME. This sample size is ridiculously small, as is the time frame. Also, population bias will mean Rangers will get the most votes (though they might deserve them anyway).

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I suspect if you asked around you would find a number of folks like myself who stopped playing ranger somewhere around the turn of 2013, when it became painfully apparent that the devs had neither the ideas nor the inclination to actually fix the class.
