-Charr Thief-
It’s good to be bad!
A thief can catch up to a warrior no problem.
Thieves are king of landspeed.
Only over short distances.
The bigger the distance, the better/faster is the warrior.

USE A Shortbow, problem solved. Thieves are still king of landspeed and can cover impassable terrain at that with their teleports. What is impassable terrain you ask? Top of hills or cliffs. Stuff other classes need to go around and cant just cut through. Thieves can cover long distances and catch up to warriors. I have seen it happen in wvw and minigame spvp.

A good thief can indeed go same pace or even faster than warrior but they are giving a lot away when they do that. You will be burning a lot of initiative as a thief, while warrior can retaliate from his cycle real quick and is pretty much ready for combat anytime.
Basically what sometimes happen is that warrior starts to run away, thief chases. Thief catches the warrior, warrior retaliates and thief has no initiative left. Thief goes to Shadow refuge or other invi skill and warrior just keeps running again.
