Is it still possible to do the instance with a party so to get the achievement faster?
I tried with a friend (party of 2) and it did not let us get in the same instance to face the Prince. One would enter and the other would automatically get assigned to another instance of the same kind.

Yes … in fact that is the easiest way since the achievement.
Make sure both people are actually on the same map before you try to start the instance.

We were on the same map and at the entrance of the second part of the instance. Still got separated.

were you actually partied together?

Our group got separated once. I think someone also ran up to the instance start clicked enter and started a different instance.

We all left, made sure only one person walked up to the entrance and everything seemed fine.

On two separate occasions I have been in a party of 4 right bloody outside the transition point to enter the resealing the reliquary ‘instance’ and been unable to get all 4 into the same instance. Yes, we were actually in a party. Yes we were on the same map, we were in fact in the same bloody room.

Is there some trick to getting in WITH a party?

Keep trying until the game puts you in the same instance. It will happen eventually, it’s just super glitchy for some reason

Just did it last night with some guildies; same instance every time. Not sure what why you’d have issues or even why it would bother to spawn extra instances to place people into.
