I agree its the best skin lol. And you were also smart and actually decided to buy it cheap rather then wait like everyone else, then proceed to QQ about it. Peoples logic rofl. They decided to wait a year instead, then feel entitled to get another chance. That would defeat the purpose or excitement if they brought back the same items everytime and also be annoying as time goes on. The fifth halloween there will be 100 skins to obtain? Makes no sense.

I don’t expect it to appear every year. Its easy to make multiple series and just rotate them that way even after 5-6 years (assuming its still being played after that length) we’ll still feel we have a chance to get it again over time.

Tho knowing the way anet works its gonna be our favorite BLC RNG crap to line their pockets as people throw 100’s of dollars for keys

Personally hope it comes back for 5 to 7 bl tickets. Didn’t get it in the past since my main is an ele and can’t use it, but with how bad Anet’s warrior favoritism is my war is coming closer and closer to being my main every day… and it would be a shame if I ended up maining a war without this skin.

I’d be OK with it coming back for 5 – 7 BL tickets. Now if ANet would just bring back the Jetpack for BL tickets too…

Good luck getting this skin seems they aren’t returning not that i’m complaining. 4 were listed for 500g before the patch and right after the patch came out they were all bought

so if ghastly grinning shield is not coming back (if! it is never coming back) then it is definitly worth more than the legendary

It’s extremely risky. Maybe the shield is still a rare drop and can come instance chests or at the end of the tower.

I really wanted the shield to come back. Did they say anything about bringing the old items back into the black lion weapon specialist? Or is it gone forever?

I don’t really understand if they are that stupid or they are kittening this game up out of spite. And no I don’t think those skins are coming back. At first I was a bit upset cos I wanted a second shield skin to use it on my war in pvp…but tbh I soon realised pvp is not worth playing anymore…so who cares…

I know it’s a matter of taste but it seems there are many people viewing these
[i.e. shield, GS, staff] as the visually most appealing skins of their respective weapon category. 10 seems fair- lets people buy them if they really want to and due to the price gives others an incentive to sell them on the TP while still leaving them relatively exclusive but not unobtainable (600g, lol)

Only 10? Why not 40? Oh if you need one there is one skin for sale on the trading kitten, only 1k gold or so. But it’s fine, ppl today want everything without effort, you have to spit blooood.

For all the people that are lacking logic right now, if you take a moment to look at the ticket vendor the price is based on how old the weapons are, fused were 1 ticket during jan/freb, now it’s 7… there is pretty much an increase of 2-3 each set back it goes… so as I was saying, THE LEAST they could do is add them on the vendor for 10 tickets rather then throwing them away.

You are incorrect. Precursors are not limited time only. Also when Halloween was ending last year they even said get your mad king chests now before these Halloween skins are gone forever…

Well some minis and the first round of unlimited use picks/sickles/axes were limited time only and exclusive yet they made a reappearance. And the grinning shield was also a gem store item so I don’t see how your argument is valid

Ghastly has the best animated effected of any shield I have ever seen. I think its cause I like naruto too much. Sasuke’s/Itatchi’s shield anyone? (black flames that never go out).

Yeah come on! Last year I’ve spent real money for keys due to the lack of a bigger amount of gold during the first month of the game. RNG screw me up. This was the first and the last time I spent real money for RNG in this game. Later on sure it was on the TP but I couldn’t afford it.
I was hoping to buy it eventually by saving gold but the price constantly inflated. Now when we are back at the halloween event those skins are gone! I mean come on. Bring them back!. No way I’m paying this manipulative dude a 1k+ gold for the skin. I don’t even have that much gold nor I will save for a future purchase at that cost!

Well, since the new skins are available at the ticket guy, as well as the winter ones, I’d expect these to return too.

Has Anet seen the price hike on these? 300g prior to halloween 900g+ now.

Flameseeker Prophecies is an absolutely epic skin.

Adding footsteps and auras will turn it into another one of the candy land rainbow road theme park skins. Kids these days.

Anyway yeah the skins need to come back. I personally don’t want one, to make it clear.

And look at what the trading post has done to the game. It brings out the worst in people, trying to rip off other players by hoarding items and manipulating the market in absolutely disgusting ways. And anet condones this, hahaha, more money to them.

Do they need the ridiculous amounts of money they exploited to get at the start of the game? And then continued to manipulate the market with? No
They do it to try and cause havoc and nothing more.

You sound mad lol. That is how the world works lol with any kind of limited/exclusive item lol.

Anyway here are my thoughts. They won’t be coming out again and it makes sense as to why if they did it this way. Every skin they rereleased was only obtainable one way and COULD NOT be sold on the trade post. The only skins that were allowed to be sold on tp were the armor skins, ghastly, and greatsaw from halloween.

Other than that everything else that was re-released could not be bought tp unless you got it off gem store or through blc or rng drops (jade weapons). So even if you did not obtain it from the gemstore/madking chests, you could still buy it off tp. Now people realize they made a mistake and didn’t get it then and are complaining lol. I can understand the frustration but you did have all that time to buy the skins.

Not everyone has that kind of gold. Early game (halloween) I certainly didn’t. If I had saved all my gold and not bought a single thing, I could have afforded the shield at 300g now. As it is, I have zero chance of getting one for 900g, and I’d rather spend that kind of money on my precursor.
