Q:
BotFW will be Lions Arch again?
To be fair they are trying to make Lions Arch the hub for players. But it would be cool if the ship took turns in each racial city like Trixx did.
They don’t need to do anything to make it the hub for players. It will be populated regardless of the current event. Would be nice to see other cities get some love – and fortunately, the Home Instance Quartz Node will help with that.
I imagine it will be LA, though, and hope that it leads to some trading with the Tengu in their Dominion in a couple of weeks!
To be true… I’m expeting some sort of separated instance (acessible trough portals of every major city and LA). This, would be more cool =) .
My guess is that the Zephyr Sanctum will most likely come to Lion’s Arch or somewhere near it. But i’m pretty sure that the majority of the event will take place on or around the ship. I think the ship is supposed to be a pretty big center piece for the atmosphere of the event.
Also note that the lessons of the sky achievement will have us exploring some place called the Labyrinthine Cliffs. Afaik, thats not a location currently in the game.
It could be in Lion’s Arch but this particular piece of concept art hints at a brand new location. At first glance it looks like a gigantic cave but then the brightness of the background would instead indicate that they’re at the bottom of some cliff. There’s also a lot of water in the lower parts. Maybe it’s a new zone in the Sea of Sorrows. It would make sense since Ree’s book is based on this region of Tyria.

So we take a tunnel that leads us to Kaineng City? I’m down.
I was just about to ask this. I’m sure we can’t change anything now, but I just want to ask the devs to please consider other areas in the game besides Lion’s Arch for future Living Story acts. It’s beautiful, but so is the rest of Tyria.
The concept art looks nothing like Lion’s Arch. I’m not sure where Marcus found screenshots of the new location but that doesn’t look like Lion’s Arch either.
I think we could see this area opened, between LA and Kessex Hills. This could be the site for the Bazaar and the Labyrinthine Cliffs that are mentioned in the release info. After that it’s only a short hop and skip towards Caledon and the Dominion of the Winds.

The concept art kinda reminds me a bit of the Hooligan’s Route in Lion’s Arch.
If you assume it’s “around LA” like most updates seem to be, there is quite limited place for a new mini explorable area. In between LA and Kessex would seem “legit”.

I know Lion’s Arch very well and those places have never been there.
I hate Lion’s Arch. It’s laggy.

You might be right although I wouldn’t get my hopes up. That zone is already known to be the Dominion of Winds, the home of the Tengu. The name of this event might indicate that it has something to do with the Tengu but I think ANet would let everyone know if they’re opening up a new zone. Then again, they might be trying to surprise everyone.
@zeromius – I agree that it might be a bit much to expect access to the walled city of the Tengu. I suppose I’m speculating that both the city and it’s surrounding territory are referred to as Dominion of the Winds. As this map suggests the walled area is inbetween Caledon and Kessex Hills, but they obviously protect territory further north between Kessex Hills and LA. With the mention of Labyrinthine Cliffs in the release info I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this does equate to a small parcel of new land for us to explore.
