As I’ll be gone a week starting Friday and won’t have access to the game, I’ve been working on getting all the BotFW achievements. However I just saw that ‘Like Clockwork’ (i.e. creating Charged Quartz Crystals – 8 total) can only be done once per day. And so I won’t have 8 days to work on this since I’ll be away (assuming these achievements disappear July 23rd.)

In the case of the achievement though, since it involves creating Charged Quartz Crystals (i.e. something that is a permanent addition to the game), will it still be available to complete past 7/23?

Like every living story related achievements it will probably be gone after the end of this arc.

Would love to know this, too…. maybe a developer could say something towards it?

For the love of Tyria, ANet, give us some deadlines already!

This story arc will continue with the next update relating to Kiel and Evon, so the achievements will likely remain obtainable until that story is complete.

Just like Dragon Bash and Aetherblade stories were linked together.

I’m quite sure this meta-achievement, like eating Zhaitaffy and eating the Omelette in Southsun, will all count if you do it past the date.

Not sure though, never tested with any since I was able to do them all on time.

So… are you sure or not? :P

I know for certain that the Omelette achievement is able to be obtained. The Omelette itself isn’t.

Zhaitaffy I can’t test.

Quartz I can’t test.

It’s not like he has a choice in the matter, anyways.

you can obtain a quartz-node for your home instance so i’m rather certain that even after the event ended you can still manufacture charged quartz crystals and complete the achievement.
many of the new craftable trinkets and equips require more than just a few weeks to be crafted anyway.

Well Mordoc, it’s not about crafting them, it’s about if the crafting after the event is still counting for the achievement or not.

Considering we can get the quartz node in our home instance I think we’ll be able to do that achievement at any time after this stuff is gone.

It’s one of the few that probably doesn’t need to be rushed. But if some one more in the know than me has a better answer that’d be swell, too.
