fused weapons were never for gems. You could buy BL chest keys and try to get lucky. I took me 95 USD worth of gems to do so. Other less and others more. Yes I am crazy for spending that much, but what is done is done. lol

I would not get your hopes up for fused skins for sale for gems.

It’s about twenty-four hours while I’m waiting for sale. WHEN????

5 tickets is a lot, but that’s good. It still keeps the skin’s rarity intact while providing those who really want it a chance to get it.

Wintersday weapon skins are now on the Black Lion Weapon Specialist for 5 tickets and will remain on the specialist after the 10 days are over.

Hi Curtis, I see that the option to buy these Wintersday weapon skins with a Winter’s Weapon Claim Ticket is now unavailable. I myself have saved a Fused Weapon Claim Ticket so I can only speculate that this weapon set will also be made available to buy with the Black Lion Claim Tickets, so I must ask, should I spend it before the change? Or is this simply a bug?

Its nice that you can get the wintersday with lion claim tickets, but aren’t they going to be for sale? They were for sale for gems during winterday. 50 tickets in a few weeks is a lot of tickets to get and very RNG.

Oh they were for sale on the Black Lion Trading Post, the change with the tickets makes sense then. I wasn’t on for Wintersday so thanks for clearing that up (Y)

My memory isn’t what it used to be for there were some skins for sale for wintersday. I am not sure if it was all of them or not but I think it was. I think you could also get a ticket from BL chests at that time to get one as well.

You got them for 500 gems outright IIRC, which seems like a helluva bargain now.

The home page has been updated with info on the sale i’m really glad the perm harvesting tools are coming back also looking forward to the flame and frost dyes and the Halloween trio I had used my 3 for chainsaw the skele but now I can have a full set

Edit: seems they jumped the gun and had posted when certain items were coming out ahead of schedule but they fixed it.

Is there any chance we will get a timeline of all the different items coming out in the gem store for the next 10 days?? (I don’t want to miss the Rox items!!!)

If the wintersday skins are going to be 5 tickets past the 10 days then that doesn’t seem like a sale or overly special. Its great you brought these back, as well as fusion (I am sure many are happy) but shouldn’t they be 1 ticket for 10 days to at least make it seem like a sale?

I suppose I am not really using the term sale as you guys there at Anet are thinking but if the item is available past the 10 days then the special part of these skins are that they became available on the sale day for the new BL ticket system.

I am not articulating myself very well but it doesn’t seem “special” to me and having some of these item for sale again which were limited time kind of indicated that feeling to me.

^ agreed! I was quite excited by this. Great news about the returning of limited items, however the sale seemed to be implied it was gonna be a SALE, discounts and all! Now also with the news of drip feeding the items daily, it’s just a bit anti-climactic.

Might as well not even bring back the wintersday items if it’s gonna be for 5 tickets. That’s like 250 keys assuming 20% scrap rate. Maybe 200 if you get a lucky ticket by itself.

Anyways, I saw all the items that are going to be on sale (when I first clicked on the link from the launcher it showed what will be on sale every day) and can say I am VERY pleased at the coming selection. Two of the items that I most regret missing are coming back. I won’t spoil it since Anet obviously wants to keep it a secret (they have updated the page to only show today’s item). I will say however that there are some certain things that you may want to sell now if you have been holding onto them for investment (unrelated to the two items I want).

Did I understand this correctly, the weapon skins will be purchasable with BL claim tickets – and these you get from Locked boxes? So in theory I could potentially burn 50 boxes without being able to afford an item?
Nonetheless, the item I only hope to get is Rox’s Quiver – could someone please confirm in PM if itll be brought back? Transformed all my gold into 1600 gems, really hoping this would cover it in Locked boxes for one.

As an 80 % PvP player I love the fused and jade weapon skins and hate the fact that I have to grind PvE stuff to affort them. Well…I cant affort them due to the fact that fused weapons are totally overpriced for PvPers.

It’s a shame that only hard PvE players can look awesome in PvP.

Then scroll to the bottom where the “Follow Us:” icons are (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and click on the far right orange radio button (feedreader). It should show everything for each day…at least in Chrome and IE it does.

It seems like there are a lot of missing items that were for sale before that did not make a return. Mostly mini’s but costumes as well? Why 1 item a day, include all the items. It an end of the year sale for those who missed out.

I guess maybe there is a fear of flooding the gem store but I say let those who want to buy, buy these items.

I think it is too much. I get that A-net want to keep these skins somewhat rare, but:
If the drop was not radom I would see a point to it.
Spending money on a rng item is however not something I am going to do.

If I knew what I got, then maybe (eventhough 50 scraps is way out of my Price limit.)
The way it is implemented now, then no thanks.

It is a shame. Some of the skins I really like.

He’s referring to reddit info that fused skins will eat seven (7) tickets. Yes. Seven. At 40 dollars a ticket on average you’ll pay 280 bucks for a fused skin. Many (“lucky”) will pay less, and many (“bad luck”) will pay a lot more.
So four hundred (400) dollars for a fused skin was not a fantasy number.
