This thread serves no new purpose and would probably be closed soon. The developers already know that as they have already been told that so many times but they have not done anything. I guess the rare skins would continue to act like a trap to the uninformed to bring in more income for ANet.

It’s your decision you might get 60 claim tickets with 60 keys or 60 permanent bank access-thingies but you might also get 60 magic find boosters. It’s gambling.

It’s clear from the description that BL Keys are a gamble — they are more like a lottery in that there’s a tiny tiny chance to win big and lots of chance to win something minor, but in the end, the public loses 50 cents of every dollar invested in state-sponsored lottos.
If you don’t want to gamble, then put in a buy order for the skin on the TP. This works even if you just want to speculate that the future price will be drastically higher.

Well actually, your chances of not getting a single scrap from 30 chests is 0.1% (assuming 1/5 chance of a scrap on a single box, which I may have misremembered). The odds of not getting a scrap from 100 chests is five billion to one against.
That said, I don’t like scratch tickets and for the same reason I don’t like buying black lion keys

nothing rng about it. even if you got a ticket scrap every other chest, it’s still cheaper to buy the weapons straight off the TP.
keys are like 10x as expensive as what they give. Which is a useful figure to know, because Lionguard Lyns was selling keys for 1/10 their normal cost about 1.5 years ago :P but she was doing too much business, so they closed her down abruptly.

The solution to your problem is to buy more BL Keys. That’s the only guaranteed way to beat RNG.
Even that seems to be a waste. Let’s assume that every 5 keys you get 1 scrap, so you would need 50 keys for 1 ticket, 50 keys á 20 minutes for each run ~ 17hours of constant farming. Seems like a waste of time to me.

If you have read my post, you would know that I was replying to someone else’s post, so how could I have been the one who started talking about it? In the context of this thread, “the minority funding” argument is crap. Furthermore, he didn’t mention anything about price point, only you did, so he could be talking about some other crap, who knows.

You should know better than to ask logical questions of illogical posters…..
As stated previously, the assumption anything needs to be changed here is likely not factual. Anet would be the first to change this formula if they were unsatisfied with BL key sales. There have been minor changes, but only they know the effects they have had on sales and I doubt they are going to share that info with players.

However it is saddening that the drop rate for a full ticket is not statistically significant.
So it has not changed? People buy keys for one reason and that reason hasn’t been improved in a significant way. All the manage to do is give people false hope by giving out scraps but it still takes a very long time.
