Fixes I'd like to see for the Trading Post
These all look good to me and would be valuable improvements in the BLTC interface. I would also like to put forward the idea of adding a digit to the ordering process so the maximum is in the thousands rather than 250.
I understand the whole concept of ‘buying a single stack’ but for those of us who want to buy 8000 of something, it is pretty tedious.

Improve the filter/search function.
When I filter for Consumables/Food – all I get are various alcoholic drinks, but none of the dishes that come from cooks. They only show as Consumables, which mkes a long list, e.g. including all dyes.
I do support all of these ideas, even if they don’t come any time soon, they should be added.

I agree, I really want to be able to preview items from the trading post… I’m a very aesthetic person and so I like to see how the armor i’m going to buy looks on my character. I’m actually very surprised that this hasn’t been implemented yet. We can preview items pretty much everywhere else except the trading post…
i dont how many time i’ve got armor from the post and i didn’t like how it looked at all and i wasted my money on something. and i think it really should “Filter gear by heavy, medium or light”, its hard to fight the right gear with two other wrights getting in way of your search. and then maybe sorting out the crafting mats too, (Ex. Crafting Mat-Cooking or Tailoring) that would be useful
Don’t forget the ability to see other listed prices (not just highest buy order/lowest listing/your lowest) when you go to sell something instead of needing to waste time looking it up.
I made this post comparing the Eve Online market to the GW2 TP:
Since Eve Online’s market is similar enough to the trading post that you could accuse ANET of copying it, lets compare how much data each gives:
– Here is the market details window in Eve. It shows all orders for that region. Ignore all the columns apart from price and quantity, as location doesn’t matter in GW2 and orders don’t expire.
Now lets blank out the bits you don’t see at various points in the trading post.
– This is what you see on the buy now screen.
– This is what you see when placing a buy order.
– This is what you see on the selling screen. So if you want the full amount of information to sell an item, you need to look the item up on both the buy screens. Sometimes you’ll want to look at historical trends, which means pulling up gw2spidy. Eve Online has the historical data graphed in game. Even worse, GW2spidy only tracks the orders and can’t tell the difference between filled and canceled orders, while the data on Eve’s graph are calculated from the sales that took place.
Those green bars at the bottom ?
Those are the number of trades that happened for that item. The trading post doesn’t show us any data on trading volume.
My suggestion: Make the TP interface more like Eve’s market interface.
