GW2 TP is high risk?
And just like that, the buy orders of Chaos of Lyssa has dropped by 2000g.
I must wonder if there are a few of these buyers who did not get a chance to remove their buy orders.
And people say GW2 TP has no risk?
Oh! TP Stealth Attack, critical hit to bank account!
TP isn’t high risk? Well I just completed the most high risk flip of all time.
OF ALL TIME
I bought a chaos recipe for 1500g (luck enough to get a buy order in the first place)
I then was able to flip it 10 hours later at 2550g.That’s a grand profit of 668G.
So, the kerfluffle over precursor prices was a smokescreen to get people to dump all their gold into Dusks and such so the TP barons could buy all the Lyssa recipes. Then after selling to clueless speculators for incredibly inflated prices, they finish nailing the coffin by selling their hoarded recipes to the smarter speculators who couldn’t cancel their buy orders in time, also for incredibly inflated prices.
Thank you for playing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Tyria Edition.
This looks like the work of Tinfoil [HATS].

It was risky because of Anet possibly hotfixing it (which I have been telling everyone to be careful of).
However seeing as we are heading into the weekend, the risk of this happening was pretty minimal.
In retrospect, I should have done this last Friday for the long weekend.
Buy orders have now gone up to 100g.http://i.imgur.com/PsYvFJU.jpg
I’m not going to do this again, so feel free to fight over that recipe

If it kittenes you off, I flipped this very same item over the weekend for 700g profit.
Very low risk considering drop rates or patch never come down on weekends
People who bought the recipe for thousands of gold, or placed buy orders on weekdays, I have no sympathy for.
And as you noted very low risk when patch dates are taken into consideration.
you only need 2 min to get all this stuff
Why would most people buy it if it takes 2 minutes? At 30 silver per 2 minutes, that’s 7.65 gph.
If you can’t discover the irony in this, you a) never tried to collect this on your own and b) don’t really know, what you are talking about.
Everything else: Tired of repeating myself to Ken Ham.

It’s high risk if you try to flip event items. It’s low risk if you flip basic items with stable buy/sell prices.

You said yourself “you only need 2 min to get all this stuff”. Click on your name if you don’t believe you said it yourself. Here, let me paste it again.
you only need 2 min to get all this stuff, maybe that’s why people pay 30S for it.
The “Ken Ham” you are talking about is yourself. You’re acting more like he is by refusing to cite hard numbers or actual events, and complaining that I am not proving everything beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Irony, you keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.
1) I was not only talking about champ bags. Whenever people are done with a farming session they come out with more gold than they had before.
Sometimes i can t tell how people can still say TP requires skill ignoring simple things..
I suspect because it takes no skill (but its so boring that many people prefer playing actually the game).
Anet already nerfed gold from champ bags.
So you get mostly ITEMS and MATERIALS.
Since there is overall lack of supply of almost anything but leather thanks to new supply sinks everywhere, people is salvaging everything to keep the supply in check.
Remove the supply and the GOLD becomes just useless.
Its the same that happened during war: since you can t eat money, they lose their purpose, while food and useful stuff becomes the new value.
Market is facing the same.
Aggravated by TP players
First or after we will start exchanging stuff in “skins” or “T6”…as happens in totally broken economies.
GG
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Basically this. It pretty much comes down to how much effort you’re going to put in. If you’re going to be really quick and try to make 300g flipping a single massive item then you stand a high chance of getting completely screwed. If you put more effort in and flip 100-200 lower value items you can make the same profit and you insulate yourself from risk by spreading your investment around.
You spend effort to buy stability and safety.
