Gemstore Nodes and False Advertising
You paid for 3 plant nodes and you got 3 plant nodes. You’re upset about the aethetics and it not lookng like a garden patch? Have you not seen how they’ve done all of the other nodes?
You expect more than 3 nodes, when the text you quoted says specifically which 3 nodes you’ll be getting?

Because we can’t be angry about both?
I don’t see where in that description anyone in their right mind could ever get the impression that you could actually control what you harvest.
While it is true they could have done so much more with that, it can also be said that had they done so (with more work involved) they probably would have priced it a lot higher.
Yeah, I’m confused about the false advertising that you claim as well.
It seems you got exactly what you paid for.
Remember that troll back in the day who was selling the “Portable clothes dryer”. Advertised it could fit anywhere with minimal installation and effort. They were selling it for like $50. Turns out it was a length of rope and 2 nails. IIRC, they couldn’t be punished for false advertising, as he never showed pictures or gave a description.
You received exactly what you bought. No one ever claimed, nor implied, it had certain aethetics, or would give a certain type of vegetable/root/herb when harvested.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
While I do agree that some better thought should have gone into the DR placement (seriously? They’re just growing straight out of the pavement??), I think you’re blowing this out of proportion. The nodes can be easily moved in a future update, the same way they did for the Krait Obelisk.
It would also be nice if u got 3 things from each plant everyday. Today I got 3 vanilla beans, 1 yam and 1 zucchini. that does seem a bit harsh when u get at least 3 ores from each node and 3 logs form each tree and yet the price is the same for all the gathering nodes.
If I could plant them myself in my own little patch, I"d even buy them (same for the trees), overpriced or not.

It’s a shame Anet can’t require “reading” as a minimum requirement for the game. There have been a lot of complaints come up that turn out to be user error.

Would be really cool if you could “plant” your own crops and then harvest them daily. (Of course, you can bet that I’d be planting stuff like Chili Peppers and Lemongrass. XD)
Nodes that are or were fairly unique, like the Krait Obelisk (technically not a node), candy corn, quartz, and clockwork nodes are very much worth having. Spending 800 gems to buy a node of stuff I would not stop to harvest in the open world is a waste of money in my opinion. If it was ancient wood or orichalcum, I might consider it.
This type of node is mostly for the collectors, the person that has to have that permanent pass to some place that’s not that much better than Lion’s Arch or the person that has to have entire sets of minis.

Behold Farmville Wars 2!!!

The nodes are identical to their “wild” cousins – always random.
Not false advertising. I bought it just after it was released in the gem shop. I get random veggies every day. Though I wish the quantity was increased. I get 1-3 vegetables per node each day and that’s it.
