I hauled Dusk out of the Forge the other day (first ever precursor) and I’m considering selling it but I have no idea what I’d spend the proceeds on. I don’t really need anything.

Crafting mats to level alts, gear to outfit alts that I leveled, gave some money to my wife, bought some armor/weapons to transmute because I liked the look…

Yes, about 6 or 7 of them so far.

I got a lot them when the lower level exo’s (lvl 70 to 79) where super cheap and mystic forging them up to lvl 80 would turn a profit. First one was the hunter which I kept until they changed the predator from purple to orange and added the aura and foot falls (which I find extremely ugly).

I’ve mostly just bought whatever I needed when I needed it, like recently I purchased a full set of gear for my guardian who went from being a fractal specific toon to a wvw specific toon focused on support (aoe might, heal, aoe vulnerability, aoe retaliation, etc) which meant every bit of gear had to change.

I’ve bought a lot of cultural gear (t3 being quite expensive) for my 8 toons since I generally think it looks better since it’s tailor made to the races.

Quite a lot of gems for bank tabs, collection expanders, 1 outfit,, finisher, terrace pass, etc

Haven’t really done anything fancy with it to be honest, just lets me bypass gearing up toons since I can just get it off the TP.

I’d immediately use that gold to increase my own wealth using the TP and profit more.

Yes, I pulled The Legend out of the forge a few months ago.

I kept it my bank for a bit while deciding what to do with it. I already had some of the gifts, mats, clovers, shards, etc. to craft Biofrost, but not have the unidentified dye and Arah tokens.

Since I do not particularly like Biofrost, and it does not fit my guardian’s ‘look’ and my mesmer never uses a staff, I could not be kitten d to run Arah that often for the tokens or waste gold buying unidentified dye.

I posted it on the TP at a higher price than the then current highest sell listing. It sold after 2-3 weeks with a net return of 710g. Never spent this on anything, so it just added to the pile of gold I have.

No cause I’ve never owned one OR even received a precursor drop. That’s life I guess.

Sold 7 that I made in the Mystic Forge, bought 1 to make my legendary.

I had rothgort, dusk, dawn, 2x dreamer and now howl. I sold the previous 5 and threw all the gold back in the forge, in hope of getting a little more gold to fund a legendary. I lost all the gold, so decided to keep the howl to start making a legendary, to finally get rid of that ugly empty spot at login (getting t6 sucks btw when ur broke).

Got tooth of frostfang from a chest in ACp1. Sold it because I hate the frostfang skin, but made the Kamohoali’i Kotaki with the profit. People laugh when they see that I made a legendary underwater weapon, but when the ghost shark animation comes up, it just puts a smile on my face.

Also the Shark aura is bugged so it shows when you are on land sometimes

Sold Leaf of Kudzu and added some of my gold to get Spark for 650g, a day before the price sky rocketed.

I have, can’t remember what I did with the 20-30 gold I got for it though.

I sold a Spark to buy Dawn. I also sold The Legend and used the gold to buy mats for Frostfang.

Sold two Precursors that dropped for me over the past year and a half. (The Hunter and the Energizer, for the curious.)

The windfall for the Hunter is being saved towards my Emperor title fund. The Energizer fuelled the cost of making 5 Ascended backpieces for my 5 characters.

I’ve never gotten a precursor because LOLluck, so no, I’ve never sold one.

I definitely have some things in mind if I ever did get a chunk of change like that, though. A few high-cost weapons I’d like to make (namely The Crossing and Arachnophobia) as well as a few mid-cost skins I’d like to grab like Arthropoda. Finally deck out all my characters in full Exotic gear with sigils and runes (I’m about 90% of the way to full exotic across all my characters, but have very few runes and such). Maybe splurge and get the Ho-Ho-Tron mini because I love that little golem to death, even though its hardly worth the price even if I did have a lot of money.

3,788 hours played and have yet to get one to sell. ::shrug::

Got The Legend 3 days ago from the MF and sold it. Not used the money yet, so just hoarding for the moment.

I’ve sold several. Early in the game, the were doubling in price every 3-4 weeks, with a HUGE spike when it became apparent that there was no Mystic Forge recipe for making them (seriously, there were several Reddit threads trying to discover the recipes!) I used most of that gold to buy Silver Doubloons, back when they were around 2 silver each, and helped a group of people to move the price on those up to around 40 silver, then resold them (this has been done several times with Silver Doubloons, resulting in the prices you see today).

The last time I got a precursor from the Forge, was right before WvW Season 1; I think I spent most of the gold on Omega Golems & Guild Catapults, tbh. I still have over 100 Omegas left over lol.

Just one. My only one, I believe. I used the gold to finish leveling my crafting to 500, bought me a few vanity trinkets and equipment upgrades. It wasn’t a huge windfall…only 400g’s.

It may sound like a lot, but it goes fast.

This is grossly off topic but I recently bought my daughter the Frozen dvd and now I can’t look at the title of this thread without putting it to the tune of Do You Want To Build A Snowman? Sigh.

I kinda regret making mine at first for my Ranger when found out that only 1 skill produces the shark animation BUT then I figure out how to bug the Aura on land at all times THEN the Wardrobe came in, super in love with it on all my spear carrying 80s especially thief since she crits 4 life.
