Holy, those prices. I almost forgot how cheap stuff back then was. I made Sunrise in December 2012 and remember that I though 2 silver for a T6 mats is ‘expensive’.
I also sold Ghastly Grinning Shield Skin. Though for 60g. Still hurts a lot :’-(

And Pixel-Kitten let LA go to Ruins, while a year later, Evon removes all repair costs.

Hmm .. what T6 mats ? Bones ?
I farmed Frotgorge already at that time and i think Blood was around 20s and Claws and Fangs maybe 10-12s.
Bones were cheap at that time maybe because all the undeads in Orr dropped only bones.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
So with the history >90 days being removed from the UI after the next update
can you please point me out where to find this info .. in a official blog ?
thank you

Really they delete the data after 90 days now? That sucks. I kinda like looking up how much I was selling items for 1 year ago compared to now.
Well no-one wins, directly… but I imagine they can free quite a bit of resources by doing this. The real queston is if not now then when?
There is no such thing as infinite storage. There is probably much more important data than this that they absolutely have to keep “indefinitely” (read: for the lifetime of an account). Them doing this now could just be something pre-emptive but really, something like this being capped is par the course in the long run.
Storage space is very cheap nowadays. They just do it do maximize their profits even further. Same reason as they are making that mega server. It will save them money.
I find it funny that I can upload 100s of GBs for free to websites like youtube, but Anet has to delete a few megabytes of data per hardcore TP user.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say that storage is cheap and by eliminating the history that ANet can bolster profits significantly.
The only times I look at my sell history is to see where the coin for pickup came from if I wasn’t expecting any. I don’t think I’ve looked at buy history in ages and then only stuff I bought within the last week if I’m trying to figure out my ROI for salvaging rare armors.
RIP City of Heroes
It doesnt need to be significant. If it saves 1000 USD per year (hardly significant for multi million dollar company), they will do it anyway for their investors.
Lately i got a bug, when selling items that i already listed, that my lowest listing wouldnt show up anymore in the sell window. 2 weeks ago i cleared out 3 guild banks and listed alot (around 600 listings atm), which was when this bug occured for me for the first time. Maybe removing your buy and sell history after 3 months will improve performance of the tp in general and is a start to implement some more QoL features to it.

Its not a problem of the price of the space but more of the load that such big SQL Querys take i think. How often does the history simply not work because it runs maybe internally into a timout ?
