I’ve seen websites that claim that you need to refresh your order by taking out items and pouring it back in, and forum posts that say its FIFO or first in first out. I find re-listing items cuts into profits (with all the TP fees), so can I have a clarification on if its FIFO or LIFO (last in first out)?

I’m sure the devs themselves know better than some random website. John Smith (the economic dev) has outright stated that its FIFO.

Though from what I hear it was bugged at some point closer to launch, so maybe those websites are just terribly outdated.

I’m not sure how re-listing items (thus paying and repaying the listing cost) can result in profitable transactions. Unless the profit margin is HUGE on that specific item, even testing that theory would be costly.

I guess if you can afford to loose a ton of gold you could try to prove it, but I would be HIGHLY skeptical of results I didn’t generate first hand. It sounds more like an urban myth started by established TP players to remove gullible newbie traders items from the TP on a regular basis (not to mention reduce their overall profits so they change their mind about playing the TP).

I’ve often placed a buy order for 250 iron ore at the same price someone else placed buy orders for 5000 iron ore. I watch the number decrease to 4000 orders, then check the pickup tab, and nothing there. = buy orders are FIFO
sell listings are also FIFO, though the proof is much less compelling and easy to test. You can do the same thing, it just takes a lot longer and I don’t have the patience for it or desire to prove what I’ve casually observed. (sell listings are also FIFO)
also, what’s LILO? Last In, Last Out? that’s just re-describing FIFO. the typical alternative to FIFO is LIFO (Last In, First Out)
