Reward BL scraps through monthly/daily
I think its an interesting idea. I’d be completely down for it but to be honest since it is a big part of their income I doubt it’ll happen.. sadly.
It’d be real nice to see tho, and definitely a motivation to get more scraps. The prices of the skins on the TP I find to be some what reasonable considering the time/work that goes into getting them, yea they are expensive but if you get them early on its not all that bad.
No I’m not a key farmer or lucky enough to get tickets (in all my time of playin since beta I’ve only received one scrap from a BLC)
Sadly any time I want a skin off the TP I weigh my options “cough up rl money or save up gold till my fingers dont work”
And with the removal of certain skins I only expect those prices on em to go higher as time passes.
People by keys in hopes to get enough tickets for skins. Therefore giving them away would impact sales of keys.

As you need 10 scraps to make 1 ticket, I think this would be cool. At least on a monthly basis,
Prices are affected by things other than farming. The pact weapons are the first set I’ve seen the majority of my guild compliment — I suspect it’s just more popular.
Prices are running 64g to buy, 78g to sell (on average), which is roughly consistent with the previous two sets.
We already get tons of stuff for monthlies and earning achievement points; I don’t see that adding BL tickets to monthlies makes the game that much better.
I was under the impression their NPE made almost no impact on key farming. Last I heard, it only increased the time per key from like 20 min to 30, and that it was still 20 min if you have level 20 scrolls or spend 1g and ~1 min crafting your way to level 10.

As for your idea, I’d recommend against it. It would make BL skins WAYYYY too common. to give a skin to everyone in the game every 10 months? that’s huge. That would more than double the number of skins in the game. If you did want to do anything like this, you would have to add yearly achievements, to which the reward was a ticket scrap. that would only add ~8% supply to the BL skin market, which is tolerable.

What if the Birthday Gifts each year gave out a ticket scrap in addition to their other loot? That’s still a slow influx, which could be made up for by buying a lot of character slots as “investment”, but that would also mean a huge cash injection for ANet -OR- a lot of gold taken out of the game as players trade in gold for gems. Both of them would be desirable outcomes for ANet.
Since they removed skins from AP milestone chests, it sure would be nice if they added a couple full tickets into them as replacement.

They did? I just got a Zenith skin this last saturday.

only way for them to be introduced is if they gave them as part of the monthly achievement. the popular (read: most expensive on TP) skins are 5 full tickets iirc, which would mean 4 years and 2 months to get them. at that rate it’s better to just buy the keys right off the gem store.
and also: i think scraps should be removed from the game. they are one of the most frustrating drops you can get in game. just give full tickets, and bump their prices 2X.

I think he’s talking about all the PvP skins we use to get pre wardrobe.

At the time, PvE players hated those drops: they took up room in inventory (since one tended to get a lot of the same) and had no value for PvE. Oops.
You flushed the dups and put the rest into your PvP wardrobe.

Oops, yes, I meant those skins.

That’s the funny thing, the Wardrobe update gave value to those unlocks for PvE, that was a solution to one of the complaints, but then turned around and removed the unlocks completely, which is no solution at all.

Is seems that the higher drop rate of tickets / scraps has evened out the little more
time or money it takes now. At least the prices look very much the same like
before the NPE
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
A full ticket for all multiples of 5k AP chests, please! This would be a very nice addition!
Or 1 full ticket for 5k AP chest, 2 tickets for 10k AP, 3 tickets for 15k AP chests, and so on. I like this ideea better and people would have even more of an incentive to partake in as much of the game as possible to hunt those AP. Of course, don’t do it halfway and retroactively award them to people who have already passed these milestones!
