[SUGGESTION] Scalable-like Weapons
It must cap at exotic stats. I seem to remember seeing this done somewhere but cannot remember which game.
Edit: When I say in another game I mean as droppable loot.

Heirloom weapons like in WoW.~
I don’t really have anything against it, so long as it’s not from the gem store.
It’d also make for nice loot in terms of variety. Perhaps they can have special skins?
how about the starter weapon does this? it’s white, but at least it increases with level as you do. wouldn’t help people with gold in the bank, but would help beginners. and maybe the cultural weapons do this?

I don’t see any meaningful or widespread benefit for this, especially when compared to the complicated coding and testing involved in designing such a weapon.
There could be such an upgrade for ascended and legendary weapons.
Throw the ascended weapon in the mystic forge along some other materials, and it loses the minimum level requirement, and can be equipped by any character of the account at any level, and the stats scale to level:
- 1…20 : Fine-grade stats.
- 26…45: Masterwork.
- 46…70 : Rare
- 71…79 : Exotic.
- 80: Ascended.
As the scaling is behind actual items, (e.g.: masterwork drops start at 14, rare at 39, etc) perishable items remain useful, and this is mostly a feature for leveling up alts fast and comfortably without min-maxing.
