Trading post unresponsive
I am the network administrator with a background in computer design and programming. My firewall is not the problem (nor my router), all three of our/my machine’s are having this error on a regular basis, have tried running in multiple OS XP 32/64 – Windows 8, even derped in Mac for a while. Have tracked major packet loss through awesomonium as a potential but that has nothing to do with my system as I discerned the destination and was able to do a tracert and other tests for traffic shaping with no erroneous or out of line data. I have pushed troubleshooting to the limits for my side, what say you Anet?
Whenever this happens to me (usually after some GW2 update) I exit GW2 completely and then go to Start>All Programs>GuildWars 2>right-click the program and choose “Run as Administrator”. Then the TP will work correctly, even if from then on I start it from a shortcut. (At least until the next GW2 update which causes an issue!)
You can default to always run GW2 as an administrator, but I’m kind of wary of doing that:
