never thought i’d spend gems on skins, but the new ceremonial armour is actually very nice looking, in contrast to the others.

Ceremonial armor looks slick, its one of the best heavy armor skins Anet has ever created. I already brought mine, its well worth the purchase imo.

but it’s not an armor, it’s an outfit

It looks awesome. Just wish I could use different pieces instead of having to use it all.

It looks great, but the clipping issues are horrible. I really wanted to buy this, but it clips badly on every character I have.

The clipping is hard to avoid. The outfit is just so large and ornate that it doesn’t fit the animations of most races. I don’t know what they could do to prevent the hair clipping without some intense changes to the shoulders or the hairstyles which… well both choices suck. The hands through the legs is… well a result of the outfit on the legs just being wide. You can’t change the human animations to prevent the clipping and you probably won’t redesign the armor.

It’s a consequence of large armor. It sucks, and certain clips can probably be fixes easily (like your norn’s butt clipping through) but most are really present in the whole game and are problems with most armors.

I like it a lot despite clipping. It dyes beautifully.

….just to repeat my objections….it’s still an Outfit.

If it was armor, I’d get it.

Since it’s an outfit, I won’t.

Ok, ok; so it’s not an armour it’s a skin. Still, it’s a very good one and I’d love to see more like it (Renaissance inspired) instead of atrocities like “aetherblade armour” and the likes.

In regard to clipping:

Sits well on human and norn.
Charr looks silly (like a cat in a funny costume) and the helmet (of course) is awful.
Haven’t checked on silvary or Asura, but all-in-all, I’m quite satisfied with it.

It looks pretty awesome on Asura too!

And it clipps tail on Charr……….. No buy for me – again.

Update: if your human has long hair, it clips through the neck piece: you hair goes down to it, then you have that neckpiece and than the remainder of your hair (it changes with angle).

So maybe not perfect, but I still like it.

One of the best armors, except for tail clipping on Charr… T.T

Ok, ok; so it’s not an armour it’s a skin.

It’s an outfit.
Armor – pieces of equipment with stats.
Armor skin – pieces of equipment without stats, appliable to existing armor pieces free of charge.
Outfit – One click cosmetic set that masks the armor you are wearing and it’s unfortunately slowly fazing out the old armors/skins.

I do not like because of the shoulder pads.

it’s a little too massive. Otherwise, she is very pretty.

It’s very beautiful, but as it’s an outfit and not an armor skin I won’t be getting it

To late for the devs who are armor artists to visit the Higgins Armor Museum in Worcester, MA next time they’re in New England. Went their with friends once, back when we were doing the whole 20 somethings weekend getaway thing. Ah to be young again. But some of the collection is now shown at the Worcester Art Museum.
