I love female Charr. They were not made to look sexy, and not given breasts. My Charr is slim, black and agile-looking, because she’s an Ash thief. Her voice is awesome, and she manages to look scary and bad kitten easily. This is a pic of her.

Since people are posting pictures of their female charr, I figured I’d post mine. I adore her!

I gravitate towards androgynous characters, which are unfortunately pretty rare in most games. The combination of a character model with no secondary sex characteristics, non-gendered armor skins, and non-girly-girl voice acting are a dream come true. While it could be that anet was just cutting corners, I like to think that the developers really did have non-binary identities in mind for once.

I have one of each race for completionist purposes, but once I get all of the achievements, I just might reroll a couple of them as Charr.

I try to get fur-exposing armor for my charr characters. When I put in the effort to get their fur coat/pattern just right, I want to be able to see it while I play. Especially from the back, like so. It’s not very sensible though XD

The top is a piece karma armor you get from completing hearts in Gendarren Fields, Kessex, and one of the Norn areas (forgot which). The pants are “Outrider” armor, which I’m pretty sure I got from my personal story—but I’ve also seen it available as karma armor. Hands and feet are Tier 2 cultural armor.

Haha “protective armor is for sissies” is more of a Norn mentality, but I could see an arrogant Charr saying the same thing.

Lol there are no arrogant Charr, I am the owner/slave to, two cats which does colour my view a little but based on that experience Charr confidence would be beyond arrogant and accelerating.
We are talking of a race that said Gods who needs them then did something about it.

I’m not understanding the complaints towards the voice. The voice actor for the female charr is one of my favorite things about the gender/race combo. She doesn’t sound like she is holding her nose or has a cold at all.

To me she sounds confident and tough. I love the voice and I love female charr.

Crafted rare heavy armour has a harness-like chest piece if you’re into a ‘my armour has no armour’ sort of look. Would be ‘(stats) gladiator something (of the rune)’ on the trading post if you don’t craft; all levels are identical so you could spend a few silver on an early one (35 is the lowest iirc) to look at.

i hope in my life time we (IRL humans) discover a charr equivalent race on earth. that way the goal to hug every cat is within reach.

Although she’s super pretty, She’s big and strong, which is rather ironic. Overgrown, pretty Tuxedo Cat look. She turned out to be an awesome design, after a few re-designs, finally got it right.

Her name was ispired by that horrible monk boss from Guild Wars 1 ( Willa the Unpleasant, though I initially named her Willa The Pleasant. However, it didn’t feel right (though she’s a rather pleasant Charr), so I gave her a name more akin to a character who is loyal, brave, and unyielding in her motivations. It sounds infinitely more Charr that way (oddly enough, there IS a female Charr cub on Plains of Ashford that is named Willa too-I found out after creating my character!)

This sounds like a very interesting character! I like the combination of muscular bulk and delicate features—it makes for a unique design.You should post her bio/picture in the thread I created recently—she’d make an awesome addition!

Got 10 charr, of which 7 are female.
Curiously, of my four non-charr, there’s one female and three males. Most games I play the vast majority of my characters are female, but I wasn’t too keen on the female designs for sylvari and norn.

I love this thread. It’s become some many different things, and really funny.

My female Charr, Necromancer

My first created character was actually a female charr warrior (for what it’s worth, I’m a girl in real life, and I’m not a furry or anything like that). I absolutely adore her aesthetics, and I really like the storyline as well. I feel like a heavily armored kitty running around smacking things with big weapons is awesome.

How’d you get up there?

Mostly running. Some jumping, but not too much jumping.

My favorite character during BWE2 was a female Charrdian. I don’t have a Charr character yet (I’ve deleted a few because I found Rangers frustratingly UP, and Thieves boring) but when I do make a permanent Charr character I’m definitely going female. I like their horn options better and their teeth aren’t annoyingly large.

I have two female Charr and find them really fun to play. I love that Anet didn’t make them look like furry human girls and instead they are more like true lions or panthers; that’s a really excellent touch and makes the race feel very genuine. I feel so badkitten playing as a giant, hulking female snow leopard-like creature and just towering over everyone else’s toons.

Also, I like the female Charr’s voice; it reminds me of the lionesses from Lion King a bit and seems to fit.

Few people play Charr, period. But I love my femCharr regardless. =P

I recently created a new female, Albane Memorykeeper. I really liked this face from the beginning, but I already had an image of my main female in my head and it just didn’t fit. I figured that one day, I would create a second female, so I could use this face.

Another guy with 3/5 female characters here. We should form a club! Guild for the Evenly Loved Genders!

I want to play a female char, have started and deleted several. I am always unhappy with the armor, at least at medium and light. The male armor medium to light is decent (husband plays one) but the female’s looks terrible., esp compared to the other races. I have deleted a norn warrior to try a char again with heavy armor, had one in beta. Hopefully I will be able to keep it.

There’s a lot of armour sets out there. I’d suggest going through a gallery and looking for the ones you like, but I’ve run into a problem there – no-one takes screenshots of charr wearing the armour sets.

Maybe that’s something I could contribute to the GW2 wiki. Male and female armour are the same though.

I’m not sure how the armor issue applies to the charr? Male & female charr wear the exact same armor sets.

Maybe it’s an issue with the body types in use or something.

Medium is probably the worst armour class for options as charr. Heavy is probably the best IMO, but light does have good options, especially the 1st and 2nd tier cultural (third has clipping issues).

I love female Charr as well, mine looks especially fierce with the starter Necromancer mask!
