Ascended 22-slot Bags/Boxes?
That seems like an overly costly recipe. Why not just scale the recipe up the same percentage as from an 18-20 slot bag. No need to make it cost 10x as much just because it’s labeled as ascended when all you get is 2 extra slots.
Ehh, sounds like too much cost for too little. For that kind of price the bag would have to do something AWESOME, like be shared across all your characters (for you to store account bound unlimited tools, for instance).
“Horizontal Progression”
Yeah, I definitely see it happening.

Have you checked the price difference between 18 slots to 20 slots? It costs 5x more. I don’t mind paying a lot for the luxury of having 2 extra slots.
maybe if it was 30-40 slots, I could always use more space
no one will pay that much for an extra 2 slots.
I’m shocked people would pay that much for a +2 slot increase. But what am I saying, I would spoil my main that much if I could pick one. Narrowed it down to 8 toons, oh kitten.
Doubt it, since that would reduce the number of bag slot expansions sold.

I think the general arguement that Anet wont implement anything, if it would reduce storage space gem purchases got very old and they proved multiple times that this is not the case. The wallet is a prime example, as well as the wardrobe and account bound ascended gear and legendaries.

Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
I won’t even pay for the 20 slot bags. These would have to be 30 slot minimum to be a slight consideration. Even then, too much. Lesser vision crystal rather than a vision crystal would make it a tiny bit more palatable.
It’s not hard to manage your bags.

I said “doubt” because that is my opinion. Bag slots are a monetized aspect of the game, thus I find it unlikely that they will further reduce the demand for one of their revenue items.
The previous changes mentioned all fixed “dumb” things that were wasting space (like currencies that were treated differently or the complicated system for changing skins). Fixing those had the benefit of freeing up space, true, but those changes were quality of life items whereas adding a larger bag would be a direct reduction in demand for a monetized item which is why I don’t find it likely.
As for kicks, I always get one from posting my opinions… that’s kind of why I do it :P
For this specifically, I don’t actually recall ever saying anything about bag space (I may have, as that’s always been my opinion).

That already goes for the difference between 18- and 20-slot
You need to keep in mind that the majority of people with 20 slots bags got them either from an event or by fractal relics. The 20 slots bags is already way to costly.
I crafted 2 for invisible bags because i needed them, but without fractals relics i would still have 18 slots bags on all my characters.
I’d craft these bags for my mains. 5-10x cost of 20-slot bags sounds reasonable.

Maybe if they were 25 slot.
And I’d put the costs at 3 ascended material, 1 lesser vision crystal, and a superior rune.
I’m guessing this will happen. 24 slots seems reasonable, but most likely they will have 22 slots.
Predicted ingredients
1 Superior Rune of Holding
1 Vision Crystal
10 Ascended Material (elonian squares, spiritwood, deldrimor steel, or damask)
