Guild Wars 2

Hello everybody. I’ve encountered a trouble with this insignia. I crafted it with my leatherworker, but decided to use it on a heavy armor set. The point is that I transferred to the character that has armorsmithing, but i can’t use it for crafting (it just doesn’t appear in the “discovery” inventory, but it is in my backpack. Anybody is having trouble with this too?

You need to learn the recipes (consumable) for the armor too.

I’ve already done that too

Then it wont be at the discovery window but located in the crafting recipes window.

it is; i’ve never crafted that armor with that character, but i can craft that insignia with him. The point is, i cant use the same insignia crafted by other character.

So if I understand what you are saying; Tailor lvl400 crafts 12 gossamer insignias. Then crafts their 6 pieces of celestial armor and then Leather crafter lvl400 can’t use the remaining 6 gossamer insignias to make celestial armor even with the appropriate recipes learned?

That is taking the account bound and turning it into soul bound if this is true. Definitely a bug since all these(insignia, armor, weapon, etc) should be account bound only.

Mine was a poor example, but at least I got the idea of what you were saying.
Yes I would contact ANet. The items are supposed to remain account bound only until the finished product is equipped. Sounds like you are one of the few that have enough charged crystals to start making insignias and such, so you probably are one of the first to spot the bug.
GL and keep us posted on how it goes. I have all recipes unlocked across each of my 4 char’s with max lvl crafting, so this is very important information to have.

EDIT: thinking on this one a bit I realized that maybe Anet wants you to unlock the insignia on both crafting professions instead of just one. (Same with the weapon one)
IF that is the case they need to warn people of this.

I will contact them. But i have the insignia unlocked on both professions, one in each character. I think that, although it’s marked as “account bound”, currently is some kind of “character bound”, but you can transfer it to other characters.

Then definitely report it as a bug. As I said there aren’t a huge amount of crafters able to make the items yet. So, gratz on finding it so soon?

It won’t appear in the discovery window, because there is no recipe to discover. You need to buy the specific hard armor piece recipes as well.

Yeah, i have the recipe discovered in both characters. I’ve made contact with ANet and they told me that their programmers are currently working on this bug. So we’ll have to wait till next update, i suppose.

This is the response I received to the ticket I submitted about this problem:

“Thank you for contacting our team about a game issue that you experienced with the Discovery panel. The Guild Wars 2 Development Team is aware of this issue and team members currently are working on addressing it. Please keep an eye on the official forums for any future updates and announcements regarding Guild Wars 2. "

Hopefully it will be taken care of by the next patch
