A couple of weeks ago I looked through the bow skins on gw2db.com and saw what appears to be a matching set of a shortbow and a longbow: Feathers of Dwayna and Wings of Dwayna.
However, they are not on the trading post at all nor has anybody I ever talked to heard of these.
I assume it’s an yet undiscovered forge recipe or maybe an incredible rare drop, not unlike Final Rest.
Anybody got a lead or even has one of these bows?

Guess is just a random mystic reward mixing bows.

I have seen someone walking around with this skin before, so either it’s used for more than just those weapons or someone knows the recipe somewhere XD

As i said, surely a random mystic reward, someone just loved the skin.

that longbow looks cool. but I dunno if that is a MF reward, since TP cant even find it =/

Unfortunately, I don’t think this is a random mystic reward and I don’t think this has been found yet.

The skin many people saw is I believe the legendary short bow precursor, as it share the same skin as feathers of dwayna.

And I haven’t seen it in TP, if it was another mystic forge random drop, there should be some already with the precursor craze.

Also, there are other weapons related to gods discovered as mystic forge recipe (Tear of Grenth and Melandru’s Staff?). So it is safe to assume these are undiscovered mystic forge recipe.

I’d love to know where this Bow is from as well. I’m yet to see one in pve, or on the TP. Pretty much the only cool looking longbow skin aside Azureflame and the Fractals Longbow.

Feathers of Dwayna is actually the same skin as The Lover ( http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Lover ), doesn’t seem anyone knows where to locate the longbow version.

Its easier to get the skins for pvp. Arcane Sliver+Arcane Powder+Paid tournament tokens+Short/longbow tokens. You need multiple attempts before you get critical success in crafting it.

Sadly for that the only available skin for pve is the lover(dreamer precursor)

the longbow maybe not yet released or very super low odd rate of getting it.Might turn into another Final Rest Theory thread haha.

yups probably dwayna event either the odds is 0.00000001% or the devs just forgot to add it to the loot table just like Final rest.

0 final rest for 5 months, 10+ final rest in a few hours after patch

just wait for the dwayna bows to appear in tp but don’t buy it,immediately start farming dwayna event after that,once u get it,sell it fast to highest bidder,then post in forums where you got it with screenshot. Wait a few days and buy back the bow which would be cheaper now.

I wonder what would happen if I filed a bug report saying that the dwayna chest is bugged, because it’s suppose to drop this item, but it doesn’t :-)

Lol, I can’t wait for the day that 100 feathers/wings of dwayna pop up on the TP and anet says “yeah it was just really rare”. Love how they wouldn’t even admit that Final Rest didn’t drop. They literally sent us all on a wild goose chase by saying it dropped from a “big chest” and didn’t bother checking their loot tables to see that it didn’t drop at all. You’d think after a few months of it not existing they’d have either checked the loot tables or said something to the players, like that it isn’t available, but nope.

Oh how nice. ANOTHER weapon that requires charged lodestones.

Anet really needs to get it together with this lodestone issue.

Considering the cost to make it and the fact that Ascended weapons will have better stats… I’m out of this one.
It’s a really nice longbow but not ‘that’ nice.

Somebody put the feathers of dwayna recipe up as the same one as wings of dwayna. I’m assuming its the wings recipe because thats on the TP, but make sure not to accidentally craft wings when u want feathers.

Okay, we now know Wings is:
- Eldritch Scroll
- Mystic Coins
- Gift of Light
- Sigils of Purity

Someone on reddit discovered that you can Forge:
- Eldritch Scroll
- Mystic Coins
- Sigils of Nullification

but they don’t know what the fourth item is. Anyone out there have a Gift of Light they would be willing to test out? You wouldn’t even need to forge it, just tell the rest of us sorry sods whether or not the Gift can be combined with the three mentioned items above. (Of course, if it does work, you do forge it and you end up with Feathers of Dwayna, you can be internet-famous for a day and then sell the bow for a small fortune, more than enough to pay for a new Gift of Light.)

edit; there were about 470 sigils listed for sell, dropped to ~150 now. Price started get some wings as well.

I had Gift of Light for I was making myself Azureflame. If someone else would like to create and use a Gift of Light to discover the resulting item (which I bet highly being Feathers of Dwayna) the recipe is confirmed as I shared in a screen capture. Afraid I’m done with gathering Charged Lodestones anymore though.

lol…. i was right in thinking that it was that rune (i instantly thought it would cause purification & nullification = healing) glad to see i am was no the only one to bad i don’t have the money/mats to throw at this.
