Trophys are for salvage, mostly. I dont think it will match with the scroll. We must try out gifts.

This is a Named Exotic. Its expensive by nature.

Are you expecting to craft this for 5gold? i would say x10 that.

Gifts should be tryed 1st, like Gift of History, then Energy and finaly eather Light/Dark.
All of them use Gift os Ascalon, and Gift of Energy uses 250x of each Dust (wich drops from ghosts).

These Gifts are the most likely ones to fit with the Eldrish Scroll.

Has anyone tried to make this with gift of history yet?

I would love to, do have 400 tailor, but do not have the money for all the materials, nor do I have the tears

1 Eldrish Scroll + 100 Base Comp + Gift of History + 100 Glacial Core.

glacial cores dont work with ori gs or hammer components, i tried yesterday (tried lodestones too)

Would it be wrong to assume that this has an actual base weapon (like the glacial blade) instead of crafted component base pieces? I say this since some of them actually do have recipes not found yet….

The weapon is Blue, yet it has nothing to do with Glacial.

The weapon is made from “Foefire”, its a kinda of magical blue fire.

Worst case it would combine with Ascalonian weapons, not Glacial =/

But i don’t know, maybe Anet recipe is just to combine every blue mat on the market >_>
Untill someone finds the recipe we’re open to sugestions!

I wasn’t suggesting using the glacial blade, i’m suggesting that that blade requires another complete weapon to make, similar to how the glacial blade is made.

I just said on the post above. I think the Ascalonians weapons do not fit.

EDIT: I just got PMed in game, aparently the Ascalonians weapon DO get in the Forge.
Yet we dont know if they fit with the Scroll.

I was thinking about trying scroll+weapon, too, but I dont think it’d match. We need to try g. of history and then we can search 4th item.

My guildmate confirmed that the ascalonian shield cannot be combined with mystic coins. Can’t confirm on scrolls nor if the GS will do either.

Neather the Ghastly Weapon, Glacial Core or Gift os Ascalon fit in with Eldrish Scroll.

Need to confirm if Scroll fits with Gift of History, and then we find the 3rd and 4th item.

I know the recipe as I’ve crafted one 2 days ago.
I’ll give you a hint, it does not have anything to do with the ghost spawning at midnight that you guys are suggesting.
One of ‘Arcanis’ posts are really close to the recipe ingredient.

Please, when someone finds it, post it here! I can’t bear to be left hanging. I’d rather have this weapon than any legendary any day.

Would Ascalonian tears fit? I just read the description and it seems like it would be a clue…. “The Crystallized tears of Ascalonians caught in the foefire.”

Yep, that recipe is ruled out. If it was that simple everyone would have a weapon by now.

Why wouldn’t you suspect Gift of Light as well? It has gift of ascalon as an ingrediant, it is a Gift for the legendary greatsword, it includes charged lodestones which I would say are the closest lodestone to foefire, and Gift of “Light”.. Foefire was a burst of light right? Also, light is very sononomous with Guardian/paladin type classes.

Foefire is historical…and light. I will try one of them when I have enough gold.

Also, /clap to “nice people” who are “I know but I won’t tell” type.

Im just trying to reduce the possibilitys so people can know where to start.

But yes, Gift of Light is also a possibility.

About the Lodestones, i dunno if Foefire has more to do with “Charged” or “Glacial”. They are both blue and both have little to do with the “Foefire” xD

Glacial doesn’t make much sense. The weapon is ghostly not icy.

Ilusion type weapons, AKA Mesmer weapons use Ectoplasm.

They have nothing to do with ectoplasm, they are Ilusions.

Anet just used Ectos in the recipe couse they are purple xDDDDD

Same goes with most of the Named Exotic recipes.

EDIT: I think someone tryed mixing Glacial stuff with the Eldrish Scroll and it dosent fit. Im NOT sure about it.

Ectoplasm is supposedly the residue left behind by a ghost, or spectre, I guess this and the high value is why illusionary items would use them… At least somewhat related…

As for Foefire’s, the only thing I can think of that no one has mentioned yet is Mystic Essence… sort of fits the profile, but I know what it’s intended for so highly doubt it is the component.

Gift of Light combines with 250 mystic coins. Does NOT combine with globs or ori hilts/blades. Did not test scroll. Good luck folks.

without a screenshot that u actually own this item i don’t think anyone is stupid enough to go on such a wild goose chase by some sketchy person

to be fair, i’d do it just because worst case scenario it doesnt work, and i’d have a component for the GS i want to make anyway. Problem is i don’t have the funds or the armorsmithing to try it yet

If Foefire use gift of something(Light or history?), Volcanus shoud be use gift of something as well:D

To craft Gift of History you need like 120gold in mats.
Its 100x Onyx Lodestones, wich are selling for 1gold each.

EDIT: I lost my hope here. I wasted hundreds of Gold and hundreds of hours trying to find this recipe, and there are some guys who know the recipe and are not telling. If at least they wanted to sell the item to make money i would understand, but they are not even selling them!!

Maybe Foefire is soulbound/blind on acquire, it’s why it doesn’t appear in the TP? If I will discover recipe, I will write it here of course. At the moment it MIGHT be:

scroll+coins+gift of history/gift of light/gift of…energy+ orichalcum component like greatsword hilt or shield part for spectral shield

This is pretty simple:

Ask someone thats going for a Legendary weapon to see if Eldrish Scroll fits with Gift of History / Light / Energy.

Its one of those 3 for sure.
