Both legendary on the same character. Pictures aren’t good at showing the shield effects. You can see the glowing effect of the shield if you have high graphic settings. You can also see when the shield is drawn in combat, it has like car headlight beaming the ground below your feet. It looks better in darker area. I finish the shield the 24th this month and bolt like way way back. Working on the 4th legendary now.

I’d have to finish more maps if I want to make anymore legendary. Finishing up maps is the worst part for me now, it’s boring and tedious. My fourth legendary maybe minstrel since I have Meteorlogicus, Bolt and The Flameseeker Prophecies. With the focus I have a full set I guess but it’s kinda underwhelming for a legendary focus -.-;;

Don’t you guys have some sort of traders guild, that make a competition who gets all the legendaries in the game first?
Whoever hits 50kg first or anything like that?

No traders guild, only my brother and I originally cooperate to make legendaries. I play the AH and he farm karma/skill points ect.. But he’s lost interest in this game but we have enough gold now to generate steady income of gold on consistent basic so that camping the AH 24/7 is no longer required.

You’re kidding right? Staff guardian is the best support class in the game. Party with one who go support build, then you see a huge different when you’re in a party without one, constant heal and buffs (25 stacks of might every fight) :P

Greatsword damage is the highest for a guardian but the trade off for survivability isn’t worth it compared to sword&focus. Even Hammer is better because of crowd control in both pve and wvw. The sword damage isn’t that much less since you can do a crit build, you can pretty much crit every hit with a sword. It is also the best weapon for wvw for a guardian since it good for chasing people down and running away when it paired up with a focus. Great survivability, a bit less damage than greatsword and a whole lot better than GS when chasing people and running away.

1st build: better for pugs because too many noobs can’t stay alive.

Traits: 0/0/20/30/20

Skills: Hold the line/Stand Your Ground/ Bow of Truth/Tome of Courage or Renewed Focus.

Armor: Toughness/Healing/Boon Durations (giver)

Accessories: Power/Toughness and Healing (cleric)

Main: Staff

Secondary: Mace + Shield

Main Pros: Perm protection, 18 stacks of might, constant fury, empower heal hits for 2800-2900. Virtue of Resolve heals for 25% of everyone hp.

2nd build: better for guild-group, ultra fast dungeon runs with maximize damage dealing. Pretty much the same as above other than switch out the perm protection for 25 stacks of perm might.

Traits: 0/0/10/30/30

Speaking about the legendary though, would you rather have something that looks not that great but is slightly stronger than exotic/ascended or have the legendary you like the best for it’s looks?

You put a lot of time and gold into making an item like this, so why waste it on something you don’t really enjoy.

Legendaries are brag items after all.. and guild wars 2 is all cosmetics.

i have 2 lvl 80 guardians as well. gs//staff on my first and then i tried hammer//sword/shield on my second. i scrapped hammer in favor of sword/shield//scepter/shield. the utility combined with conditions is amazing in wvw and i do exceptionally well in dungeons. my belief is that in open world pve(not wvw, not dungeons), any weapon is viable in pretty much any place.

my only gripe is that sword 2 often gets me stuck in terrain/pillars. other than that i can bring great dps and decent cc/support with shouts and crits

That build is from a guardian in my guild who went on a complete support build. It’s extremely good in a group dungeons setting since it boost everyone attack by almost double or reduced damage by like 1/3. It is not very good WvW at all since you can’t kill for kitten. Solo isn’t so bad since you can’t die, it’s so tanky that you’d likely outlast anything anyway. I personally don’t play support guardian since it isn’t my style but some people who want to play purely support guardian would be the better choice than other classes due to their high survivability and their abilities to give multiple buffs. Elementalists are also good @ support as well but most elementalists are class cannon build, rarely you’d see anyone bother with water/earth build.

My guild had an elementalist support, he was amazing @ keep the parties alive since their heal is pretty kitten good. Elementalist has better heal than guardian but die faster due to their armors, they also give less alternative buffs vs a guardian though.

Warriors support is pure crap compared to Elementalist support or guardian support. I’d rather see warrior in my party doing 15-20k a crit than carry their banners and shout.

Sword/shield or Sword/Focus + Scepter is the best for guardian in WvW, nothing can beat that combo. GS is highly overrated, the damage isn’t that significantly higher than the sword but survivability is much less not to mention sword can give chase and run away like nobody business only second to a thief.

Thats my problem. But i can’t sell them separately because i equipped my twilight a long time ago (wasn’t able to sell it at this time…). I think i would like to have the shortbow (love trolling people with rainbow stuff) but i’ve got no money left. Also i’m a person who wants to have one main character with all good things on it. So i don’t want to keep twilight, sell sunrise (didn’t equip it untill now) and use the money to craft another legendary for another character (don’t like to have warrior as my main character so if i would equip Eternity i’ll give it to a guardian or whatever).

Nobody I know want an eternity, most of them don’t even use greatsword for that matter. Eternity could get 5k+, I don’t think it will be that hard to find a buyer. Plenty of lazy people have deep pocket who can just buy gem to exchange or find other “means” to get their gold

Easy route? I guess I earned my 3mils Karma + 1500 Honor Badges and over 1000 skill points for 3 Legendaries are easy route for u? It takes skill and patience to do power trading to camp TP 24/7. Although I don’t buy gems for gold or rmt in that matter.

If got the same amount of time and this is more than enough to get a legendary even without playing on tp, gems or exploits.

Precusors bought during the first month of the game was dirt cheap, precusors were also dirt cheap when they flooded the market with that Kakra event. Should have kitten precusors during that time. Everything else are easy to obtain, hell just by leveling up to lv 80 and grind @ cursed shore would have gotten you at least half of the require T6 mats and roughly 300-400 ectos if you salvage those rares you get.

I didn’t save money to build my legendary once I have enough money, most of the steps were done months ago when things were CHEAP. I bought like 3-4 precusors for like less than 10 g. None of my precusors cost me than 90 g. Anyone who has 1000+ hrs playtime should have gotten at least 1 legendary already.

I will rather keep wasting hundreds of gold on the mystic toilet gambling than rewarding market manipulators or lucky people.

Good luck on wasting your money. You will not have a legendary in 5 years if you think this way. You don’t want to buy a precursor for 200g? You even can’t buy one of the famous precursors for 200g. You will MAYBE pay 100g for a precursor? But you DO waste over 750g on the mystic forge. I think even the scavenger hunt (which will come maybe in 6 months) will be more expensive than 100g. Scavenger hunt…stop dreaming about precursors for dungeon tokens. Scavenger hunt would be like: You need 2 stacks of ectos, 2 stack of T6-x-mats, 2 stacks of wvw tokens, 2 stacks of blablabla, combine in mystic forge, gg for your “hunted” precursor. Gl hunting materials. But maybe…at this point…you dont’t want to pay 100g for materials…rather you will go on gambling in the mystic forge and waste thousands of gold. Really….?

Thats the point why you (with over 1200 hours) don’t have a legendary and other ppl (with less hours played) have multiple legendaries. They have just safed their money and stopped to gamble in the mystic forge (i wasted about 200g and at this point i safed up all my money to buy it 100% out of the tp).

So trading on the TP must be some kind of exploits. Just so you know, you’ll have to use the TP sooner or later regardless.

Oh I use the TP common to sell all drops which sell for more than merchant +15%.

The scavenger hunt won’t be out for couple of months imo, even when they are out I think it will be sould bound/account bound and you probably get a random precusor rather than whatever you want or desire.

You can farm any lodestone required for a legendary, even if it takes lets say 1000 runs of CoE. But precursor is impossible to farm, pure luck or give in to manipulators on TP.

lol 1000 runs of CoE can get you a precursor very easy. 1 run = 1g+ do the math!
