2nd of August Exit Polls
I did too and will keep doing so. over and over and over…..
VOTE KIEL!
Keep up the pressure, Team Kiel! Woo!
Dakka Warforge- Level 80 Charr Engineer
Xairro – Level 80 Asura Revenant
The victory is close, keep voting!
Kiel is such a kitteny NPC I would have to be on the edge of a sword to vote for her.
No to that kitten and no to anyone supporting this kind of poor design!
I would have to be on the edge of a sword to vote for her.
…I’d die for Evon.
This is bullkitten. Who are the kitten carebears voting for that boring kormir-clone?
so more boring golem enemies in the new fractal… meh, we could have seen gods O_o
Well I at least hope Evon gets more involvement in the living story as the months go on as i have yet to like a single bit of keil or anyone surrounding her. I also wish her fractal wasn’t focusing on the inquest as they are already a huge part of gw2 and will continue to be as we learn more about the dragons. Plus the reactor is already in game and abaddon, the margonites, crystal sea, and the forgotten are nowhere to be found yet so i’d rather see them than more inquest.
I kinda figured Keil was gonna win from the beginning(due to humans being the most made character and charr the least) but i’ll continue to mindlessly spend gold and farm support tokens while i level my alts till the last day of election.
I do find it awfully suspicious being so close… weird.
Voting for Gnashblade is best thing we can do to support Guild Wars 2. Even if you don’t buy keys yourself, others will happily pay the reduced price. Think about steam sales. This increases profit for Anet/NCsoft which translates to an increased budget that will provide a solid foundation for future content! Save a miniscule amount of copper on reduced WP prices for a few weeks, or get better more frequent content for years to come? Vote for Gnashblade says you care about the future of Guild Wars 2.

I saw that god in GW1. And ripped him a new kitten. He can stay in the corner I put him in, bring on Thaumanova!

Except you didn’t put him a corner, he was there-waiting and imprisoned; This fractal would have allowed you to at least in part actually put him in that corner.
Overall the election to me seems a let down, in part because I’ve been voting for Evon and that the percentages have not changed at all which seems unusual… But more so that the reactor is bland, the notion o chaos energy being introduced into the mists makes no sense as it should be there natively. In addition in the living world where the reactor was drawn up there’s only two occurrences of it having any real effect on the world at large- I’ll still run it when it’s out but it really seems uneventful and hardly memorable.
Shocking. The human female hero from the last few Living Story updates is going to beat the male charr villain who came out of nowhere at the beginning of this update. No-one saw this coming.
It’s not unusual that the percentages haven’t changed. Likely, both sides have been keeping up the pressure of votes without waning.
Push for it. Go Gnashblade!
I’ve been saving my stash for the last day to vote.

Because Sujoro is clearly inclined to copy-paste that message in multiple places, here is my response and following discussion. Probably not the ideal location, I know, but it’s where I first saw it and it’s better to keep it in one place.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Ummm who cares about Evon, let him manage his TP business.
The person that I want more in the Living Story is Lord Faren.
We only got to see him once in the LS
I’m usually typing on my phone
In one way, I am kinda sad. At the beginning of this, I half expected Gnashblade to win, and then I could have sulked and rebelled. Now, in a way, I feel robbed.
But still, go #TeamKiel.

400 more votes from me for Kiel. kitten that was alot of clicking….
I wonder how people that complained about “ArenaNet favoring Evon” are feeling now..

My thoughts exactly.

<———————————-
And I have more votes an more days for her
I do find it awfully suspicious being so close… weird.
So close? 383k votes is close to you?
The evon suporters could not save the 4% difference in a whole week, and now the difference is 10 times bigger in votes than in the first week (39k in the first week, 383k in 2 weeks), and still I read about hope…
The only solution for you guys is that all the evon people spend money on evon.
And 2 reminders here:
– 1g= 10 votes. you would need 38.300 gold just for a tie.
– people who support kiel have money too, and still is voting for her. So dont expect you to be the only ones supporting your candidate.
Where you see a close battle, I see a clear winner.

Just a tip. You are not alone in GW2. Your decisions and feelings, may not be the ones of the rest of the people.
Did you think that maybe, you put 100 extra votes for evon, while a put another extra 100 votes for kiel? thats why the % didnĀ“t change.
Im voting for ya Ellen! You go babe <3
Good Job Kiel voters. Really, you did a great job there, voting for your boring goody two-shoes character, that you just chose for cheaper way-points (because 4 weeks of cheaper travel will have such an impact in the long run!), or because you know her so well from the living story (in which she did basically nothing but standing around telling you where the action is happening).
Oh what was that? You voted Kiel because of her fractal? Oh yeah, another story in which the inquest are the villians, that’s what we needed. I mean, they only appear in 2 dungeons and and the skypirates storyline, but no let’s find out how they managed to screw up yet again! Not that we wouldn’t have gotten that information anyway if it is so important as Anet claims. No we need a fractal for that and thereby totally ruin the chance to get insight in one of the most interesting and important parts of tyria’s history in general.
I mean, who needs to see gods fighting when you can experience how some shaved badgers blow up a reactor. That’s way more important.
Oh so that also wasn’t the reason you voted for Kiel? It’s because you hate RNG and don’t want to support black lion keys? Guess what, I never bought anything from the shop and I never will. I don’t care at all about 4 weeks of cheaper keys since I wont by a single one of them. But it’s really a great idea to led an amazing part of Tyria’s lore slip away to punish evil Anet and it’s plan of RNG-based world domination. Or maybe you just voted for Kiel because she is a human and you hate Charr. I mean it’s not racism if the victim is a pile of data, isn’t it. It’s a crime without victim, you can be proud of yourself that you realized that.
You made the smart decision by voting for Kiel and I just wanted to tell you that with a pat on the shoulder. Now go and enjoy your cheap travel as long as it lasts.
By the way, you better not use a sarcasm detector on this post, it might blow up in your face.
@BuddhaKeks
Nah, I’m doing it to spite all the mudslinging coming from Evon’s side.
But it’s really a great idea to led an amazing part of Tyria’s lore slip away to punish evil Anet and it’s plan of RNG-based world domination.
Funny thing is RNG boxes are probably still being bought, because otherwise ArenaNet wouldn’t emphasize them so much. If there are people boycotting Evon because of the BLTC, while having spent money on RNG boxes (or other items in the store which should be obtainable with in-game currencies – see t-stones, 100% chance salvage kits etc.), then those people are just hypocrites

I did it for a cookie, here, have one. Its victory flavoured.

haha, there are more reasons, dude.
For example, I personally dislike those GW1 fans who only complain about GW2, because is not what they thought in their heads.
So this vote is also a way to give to the rude GW1 fans a real and serious reason to complain if Kiel wins: You guys are not the majority in GW2. You may be in the forums, but no in game.
And the most important thing is that thanks to this election, Anet will know who their players really are and what they really want.
So please, quit that sarcasm, this is a more serious poll than you may realise.

Not really. There are too many things tied up in one poll to be able to draw any useful conclusions about any one point (although my cynical side says the NCSoft beancounters will claim it was a referendum supporting RNG boxes if Evon wins). I know a lot of people who would love to see more stuff drawing on GW1 lore but which are voting for Kiel for various other reasons. Including the observation that a fractal is unlikely to do the fall of Abaddon justice.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
I’m voting for Kiel because Evon has given me nothing but junk from his Black Lion Chests. Dammit, Evon, if you wanna buy my vote you gotta work HARDER than that! :P
Ellen Kiel is a horrible pirate. Even her own First Mate acknowledges tat during Candidate Trials.
I have 800 ballot tickets yet to cast. Lets see….hot woman, or flea bitten RNG supporter? Hmmmmmmm…..
