I’ve seen charr-supremacist tendencies from the Evon faction as well. Not that that excuses it either way, but it’s not solely coming from one side. (Personally, I’ve noticed it more from the Evon supporters than the Kiel supporters, so there’s probably an observation bias in play)

While neither is something I would ever say personally (being sensitive to specieism issues), I think there’s a difference between saying “I vote for/against this Charr person” and “I vote for/against this person because he is a Charr”.

“Don’t vote for the filthy Charr” can be seen as descriptive, and whether or not the sentence implies that he is filthy and a Charr or that he is filthy because he is a Charr is debatable.

As I said, I see the “because Charr” coming mainly from his supporters – not their opponents. And I haven’t seen any “because human” on either side.

Personally, putting any non-Asura in a position that requires anything remotely resembling complex or intricate thought is an obvious error. Rata Sum should, for the good of all the lesser species as well as Asura, assume control of Lion’s Arch and bring some civilization to that rats nest of a pirates den.

Except that the only part of your argument that actually has any sort of backing is the first pair of lines and that it is a reference to Apocalypse Now. However, making the change from what it actually is to the napalm version from the movie is basically unequitable because many games (including GW2) throw in references like that all the time. this does not mean the two incredibly different quotes can be exchanged. Anet throws in these references for fun and for the people who understand them. That does not make them interchangable. Your last ‘quote’ set is simply a blatant lie and is only in there to attempt to sway people (and in the process, being specieist.)

Each time I see a new post of yours in this forum section, it seems to introduce a new, evil thing Gnashblade has done/does/will do, and every one of them is baseless and sourceless. Now, if you can bring to my attention a place in which Anet (in-game or out) explicitly provides a base and proof for your claims, things may be a bit different. But for now all you seem to be capably of is spouting unproven Kiel propaganda.

Back on topic though, I’m honestly starting to doubt that every ‘charr are flithy’ post is sarcasm. Is this really becoming a thing?

Like I can understand if someone said “because Charr are AWESOME” because quite frankly they’re a very refreshing race considering contemporary high fantasy, however it’s becoming more apparent to me that people are actually getting on edge about which race is filthy, and not simply being sarcastic.

Clearly Kiel supporters are trying to paint us as clowns for trying to reveal the truth! It wont work, vote for a candidate that is always serious and yet always casual- Vote Evon.

I’ve seen a bit – I’ve seen “because humans are boring” from Evon supporters, and “because bewbs” and similar responses… which may not be human specifically, but are certainly ruling out asura and charr.

That said, in my experience the charr are the most polarising race by far in the GW2 community. No other race attracts as much blind hate from its detractors, nor as much violent fanaticism from its supporters, and certainly no race has stirred up as many battles between the two. I have no doubt there are people who are voting for Evon purely because he’s a charr, and people who would vote for Kralkatorrik if he was running against a charr.

And then there are people who post with their tongue implanted so firmly in their cheek you’d think it was superglued there, and people who can’t recognise a joke post if it bit them on their dusky tail.
