Fall of Abaddon
Smough The Cruel [WvW] – Warrior
Hehe, these choices actually make it HARDER than it was when we though it would be between Molten Alliance Facility and Aeatherblade Retreat..
But yes, the Fall of Abaddon does indeed sound quite promising.

The WHAT?!?!
Seriously, this seems almost unfair. I mean sure, the reactor might be kind of interesting but compared to the something like the Fall of Abaddon… Its either referencing his war against the other gods in which case it would be amazing new lore or its referancing his defeat by the sunspears which would mean a peak at a GW2 version of Abaddon and a look at a GW2 version of the Realm of Torment!
Poor Kiel. She may have just lost the vote of the bulk of the lore community with this….
Who cares about waypoints.
Evon forever! This better be good.
I want the Reactor :’-(

Any GW1 veteran will vote for evon.
the fall of abaddon?!?!?! That’s amazing!
I don’t want to replay how the asura lab blew up….. that’s stupid. But refighting abaddon for gw2? OMG
If this is a Gate of Madness Fractal, Evon is my Charr.
The reactor is interesting, but ABBADON!!! Evon Gnashblade won me with that! (and I’ve always liked the guy, he’s a charr with class).
Where did you find this?
Never mind, found it.
the above post could be complete and utter nonsense.
Fall…of…Abaddon. Oh God, I’m about to…to… uhh
Nightfall nostalgia, nevermind.
Any GW1 veteran will vote for evon.

So you mean just standing there smacking his face? I’d rather see the reactor than do that again. If it was how he became evil or whatever, that might be interesting, but not if its just the fight we did in GW1.
Please give us a keyring…
#TeamEvon that’s for sure.
Ugh… As someone who really loved GW1, it’s really hard to pass up Abbadon. At the same time, though… It’s obvious imo Ellen Kiel is a better choice from a story standpoint. So now the choice isn’t who to put on the Council, but “put someone good on the Council and get future Living Story content based on that, or get amazing backstory?”

This could be about Abbadon giving magic to human and further wars because of that but it’s gonna be in FoTM so I don’t know what players could do there.

Evon’s not going to destroy all of us or make us slaves, it’s a game overall and it must be entertaining.

Yeah I made a thread about this in the lore forum just now………I’m rather torn.
Also, I’m thinking the fall one could in fact be the final battle. Think about it, each party member being turned into one of the five gods in one final battle against their one time ally.
Any GW1 veteran will vote for evon.

I know, I want to see the Fall of Abbadon… but I don’t like Evon other than that. THIS IS HARD TO CHOOSE.

From a lore viewpoint… if it’s Abaddon’s destruction, it’s not really interesting. We know what happened there.
To be honest, I don’t think either are groundbreaking lore-wise. We could probably get a few more of the specifics from either, but even if the Abaddon fractal is referring to events from pre-Exodus, we know the basics of each. The Thaumanova Reactor explosion might even prove more interesting if it gives us more information of just what the Inquest was doing to set it off, including the possibility of looking at some of their dragon research.
Lorewise, I see the two as roughly equivalent – both have the potential to have major revelations or to be uninteresting. Roleplaying wise, I’ll just point you to here.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
Fall of Abaddon! #TeamEvon!
I’m voting for Kiel: The only thing anyone is offering that I’m interested in is the reduced waypoint costs.
The Fall of Abaddon would be amazing. Evan already had my vote, but this would simply be amazing from a lore point of view. Who doesn’t want to see how Abaddon was defeated? This would be epic!
In fact, this can’t be just a simply in-between Fractal. This sounds like it might replace, or be an alternative bonus Fractal. Much like the Jade Maw. Because it must be an epic boss battle. It just has to be.

The amount you will save for the 4 weeks it lasts is probably insanely small.
A VOTE FOR EVON IS A VOTE FOR GUILD WARS LORE
