but in reality let people complain, fidget, scream, w/e because it’s not WE who voted for Keil it’s the keil supports while the Evon supporters get nothing they wanted out of this. So let them complain just like I will because i really love charr and thought evon would have been a nice change of pace from the tons and tons of hero type characters in the game(he’s also far more qualified). If you don’t your gonna have a bunch of kitten ed of people roaming your forums and let me say Gw2 forums already have enough of that.

All in all, Evon would have made the better candidate. Just look at Yomm. There’s enough proof with him.

So if evon was more likable, then you would’ve voted for him? And even though he’s been running a massive company for years, you think that kiel, just being a guard, is more qualified? And for the record, the fractal would’ve been about the fall of abaddon; not the guild wars one mission. I feel like if that was clarified better then Evon would’ve won.

As like the few Kiel supporters on the forums, we need to rally up and stand together.

I just hope that the living story moves away from LA, making this election really moot (No player characters are residents of LA so having the support of the people of LA as was asked is not even presented) but I doubt it…They haven’t even picked up more important threads on the heels of say Arah explorable

The devs themselves wanted Evon to win…and by the way the dev talked, he really wanted to work on Abadon which means he loved that project.

Don’t even expect a quarter of the love to be shown to a lousy asura failed experiment, judging by the disappointment that dev had. You all just missed out on the core-lore of the game just so u can save some money on teleports.

Sry but the fact we won’t get to see abadon just killed this whole experience for me. I hope u have fun with “1.5 silver teleports” instead of “3 silver teleports” and a fractal that most devs feel “mmeh” about making it…u guys deserve it..u won.

I just wanted to make it clear that by voting for Kiel, you basically said “I want characters like Trahearne and Kiel to take over my story from now on.”

So if Anet decides to let Trahearne take over the story in the future, don’t act surprised about that, because that’s what you voted for.

“It means WE” no it means YOU. I did not vote for Kiel, and would like to be kept separate from your majority. No offense is intended, but I would not like to be thrown in with those who voted for Kiel.

I really, really hate the implication that those who voted for Kiel are stupid, swayed by waypoint costs, or voting for boobs. In my case, none of those things are true.

I voted for Kiel because I didn’t think that a fractal would do a god’s fall justice, and because, from my character’s perspective, I’d rather have a good guy gain power than a plutocrat consolidate it.

I couldn’t care less about waypoint costs versus Black Lion keys, and, unless it affected me on a subconscious level, I couldn’t care less about the character’s race. Human, charr…it’s all just pixels, anyway. However, I will say that the amount of rabid, obnoxious support that I saw from Gnashblade supporters on the forums turned me off to his candidacy even further than I otherwise would have been. Calling Ellen “Traherne 2.0” and talking about her boobs as though they’re a deciding factor…yeah.

In the countless topics made on the whole “kiel vs Evon” subject, you can see numerous posts made by Kiel supporters going “hurrdurrdurr boobs” and similiar lark, while I’m certain the majority of the people voting for Kiel had perfectly legitimate reasons to vote for her, I’m saddened to see those firstmentioned plebs get their canditate up.

I’ll probably play the fractal once, hate it as all the other inquest related content and abandon pve for spvp, again.

I like that now that evon didnt won, his offer has suddenly changed from a discount on black lion keys to the entire BLTC. It’s only keys that would’ve got the discount.

Not many people have that type of mindset sadly. It’s usually whoever seems to be the cooler role playing character ingame and since Kiel been in the spotlight recently most will vote for her immediately ignoring the fact that she provided us with nothing in return.

Saying she’s giving cheaper waypoints if we vote for her is a insult. That’s saying we’re lazy poor players even if we happen to have decent currency. I was hoping for the Black Lion Chest discounts so bad.

I voted for Keil for the fact that the reactor explosion is not just a failed experiment. If it was then you would not have all the other stuff going on well after the fall. Abbadon is done plain and simple and has no bearing on whats happening right now.

Looking into Evons history shows his warband wanted to extort the people of Lions Arch which he agreed with just not the method his legionarre want to go about it so he killed her. The fact is he has hidden motives to control Lions Arch for his own pocket. And I don’t trust that type at all.

A story is a story, but you can’t pass up some good discounts. It’s not like waypoints are pricey as WoW flightpaths being more than 3 gold.

Funny thing is we have no way of knowing if there ever was an election. For all we know the numbers are made up and ANet enjoyed our campaining on the forums and in-game with their plans laid out for Kiel’s win all the way. I guess conformity won this round against anarchism.

This 100 times!!! This is my main reason for voting Kiel, with my second reason being that character wise she is “good” for LA. She is good PR and yes, a strong female character which is rare in games, period. Evon had some pluses in his favor (and about 40% of my votes went to him), but I just liked her better for the post, so she got most of my votes.

As I’ve just said on another thread, I wholeheartedly agree that I’d have rather seen the Abaddon content than the Thaumanova content. I’m sure most players feel the same way. But I think it was more important to take a stand against RNG, so important that even spicing that choice up with more attractive content didn’t turn me, and I suspect a fair number of people felt the same way.

I played a lot of GW1. I preferred the idea of the Thaumanova Reactor over Abaddon. I never liked Abaddon. I don’t find gods compelling, I think exploring gods ruins their majesty, and I felt that Abaddon was the bad guy version of Kormir/Trahearne/Kiel, by stealing credit for all of the bad guys actions in the Prophecies and Nightfall.

For all I knew, the fractal could have strongly implied Abaddon was behind the Elder Dragons or something stupid like that.

I think the implication that I’m a casual or that I voted because of “shallow WP costs” or something is just really sour grapes. People had different tastes from you. If I wanted to see boring content about boring gods, I’d play WoW or something.

Sure, the Inquest might be a little over-prevalent… but I still prefer exploring the Thaumanova incident over nega-Trahearne.
