I think Anet released Cantha should be it’s own city. So they removed it in DR to add to the game later.

Whatever Anet is planing. I hope it has multiple uses(jumping puzzle, dungeon, buildings and mini-games).

Also if the reddit dataminers info is correct, and its supposed to have a gate to each major city and crafting stations all in one central place, does that mean we’re gonna get something to easily get there with? And will there be gates in the other cities that go to the Royal Terrace? Uggg, so many questions about this and no answers till at least next tuesday

Something permanent would go a long ways towards livening up Divinity’s Reach, that’s for sure. Plus the rivalry you could start building between DR and LA, there could be stories to be told.

But… why do I expect we may have to worry about stepping in centaur poop in DR soon…?

That was Raisu Palace, and it was technically still in Kaineng City, not just near it. I don’t recall it ever being described as being “royal”, Canthans tend to prefer the term “imperial”.

There’s a royal palace right in the middle of Divinity’s Reach, too, you know. Occam’s Razor, and all.

Well, it certainly ruined the local vista, for now.

Actually, how long has she been in power? Queen’s Jubilee is a very plausible guess if an anniversary of her reign is coming up. And the story could be she’s reviving the entertainment district in direct competition with Caudecus’ bread-and-circuses carnival.

mm..-.- so no Canthan district in divinity’s reach then? why are there npc’s and quests that say it was, or that there are Canthan sections of DR then? I find it hard to believe lore-wise that Canthan’s would just forsake their culture to live in DR and not decorate their section to represent that…Especially when the others didn’t.

Hopefully whatever replaces it is awesome, then. But I won’t lie I am disappointed.

I kind of hope that if they are going to start explaining the story of the Great Colapse, Riot Alice at least makes a cameo. She is one of my favorate PS characters, simply because her background makes her behaviour make so much sense.

She comes across as an anarchist and crazy conspericy theorist. Her story instead shows her has a young woman struggling with the lose of her father and not willing to accept that his death was an accident. The best part though is she is smart, and quite possibly right.

Faran got a cameo so fingers crossed Alice might get one too.

10 years, apparently. And the name “Queen’s Jubilee” is exactly the right guess:

That’s pretty much confirmed already. The next part of the Living Story will revolve around Divinity’s Reach.

Which is cool. Although I’m a Norn there’s no denying DR is easily the prettiest of the cities in GW2.

I’m also pretty hopeful the focus will come to each and every one of the cities, in turn. The only one I’m not really looking forward to is the Grove. So bland…

I’m kind of sad the Great Collapse is gone… I just loved strolling down that bridge!

But I do like that DR will get some love now. It’s such a beautiful place!

(but there are females there who have a very heavy voice, so don’t trust any of them, especially not the ones that are standing next to the vista there…)
