Guild Wars 2

When i saw the wings in the dragon bash trailer i didnt notice any square line pattern in them. But previewing them now they do have lines. Anyone else think the lines should be scrapped? It’s killing what would look uber awesome. If more people are with me on this maybe anet will listen and lose the lame grid on the wings.

Also another idea. I’d like it if the dragon wings didnt flap so fast. Slowing it down a bit and getting rid of the grid would b perfect! :o

Yes thats true, i just feel the grid doesnt fit well with armor in this game. How many armor has square lines going through it? Its hard to make the wings match and not look like a random attachment =/

I’ll have to say I kind of agree, HOWEVER, they’re holograms, I get why they did it, and could see how someone could like it. I’m out for the shattered wings, anyways.

I thought I was the only one…I have no idea which char & profession to give the wings to…aesthetically (to me at least) it just doesn’t fit :|

Since the grid was not present in the trailer, i spent a lot of gold to buy cuz i was hoping the grid lines were only in the preview. Between the crazy flapping of the wings and the grid lines on them i cant help but feel i wasted my money. I probably wont b wearing them. Here was my attempt to make them look awesome.

Im gunna try out the shattered wings too and see if they look good. But im afraid they will be too pretty and not necrolike. another thing to poitn out is im pretty sure none of the holograms in this event have grid lines. So why do the wings randomly hav them ? >.<

Oh my mistake, i dont remember seeing them.

Personally I like the grid lines, but I hate the fact that the wings are constantly flapping. I’d rather them be still and maybe flap only when you jump or from time to time.

I agree that they should be made slower.

I agree that the animation could be made more subtle and/or so that it only reacts to gravity (jumping).

The grid is part of the item design, and you’ll never get the entire player base to agree on one item design, so I’d say leave it the way it is. I just wish all of these visual items were dyeable.
