Just placed a bet on the Moa Races, was waiting for the race to finish and my game disconnected thereby losing my bet…not happy about it. Has anyone else had this same problem? And what can I do about it?

I don’t really know how it works, but since the reward is given via ingame mail I guess you will get it even if you get disconnected. And if you didn’t got anything probably your moa was 4th or 5th.

No, you don’t. It says in the instructions that you will auto-forfeit if you leave the Moa racing area. I guess disconnects count as being “away”.

WHY it was implemented this way, I don’t know – it is in direct contradiction to how other events in Tyria work. Especially as you get the reward by mail.

So no, there’s sadly nothing you can do about it. (I lost some money the same way last night.)

well they did announce that a new build would be available, if you place your bet during that time, then it’s your fault. sorry.

I get frequent DCs when my internet connection randomly drops.

oh… ouch, i don’t want to be mean by saying “try/pay to get a better connection” but isn’t that still your fault? though i do wish you can get your money back if you randomly disconnect. best of luck with that.
