It would create ALOT more dragon bash atmosphere with special musik, like at Halloween and Wintersday.

I completely agree. Hell, in the developer’s article on the origins of the Dragon Bash theme, I’m pretty sure the dev even says how psyched and excited he is to have the theme he created playing around Lions Arch. I felt kind of bad for him that it doesn’t actually play in Lions Arch at all!

Given it has a very long lead-in, it is a complete non-factor in the character selection screen, most people have selected their character long before listening to even the first bar of the melody.

So yeah, constructive post and I hope ANet take that on board. I think it was also a serious mis-step that they only kept the 8-bit GW2 theme for April Fools (as I recall it was more like the first week of April, but kinda odd they didn’t keep it for the duration of the SAB “event”).

I’d wondered the same thing last week, with no response… Definitely weird that there’d be an entire blog post about the music, only to have it on one fleeting screen instead of prominently in-game where it should be.

Live bands performing Bash the Dragon. Please.

I find it a tad sad as well, being as there was a blog post about the Dragon Bash Theme Song… “Matthew’s new lyrics fit that vibe perfectly. It’s the sort of song that everyone in Lion’s Arch would know and love.”

I’ve yet to hear this in the game. Maybe I am not going to the correct places? Instead, it’s a gloomy tune in LA.

I was thinking about this too. But last night I was doing a personal story on an alt which had me go to The Crow’s Nest Tavern in LA and after a few minutes of checking out the window view- the Dragon Bash music started playing! Check it out!

This leads me to believe that maybe we’re going to see an event in the tavern this month? Especially since that’s where the Pirate Captains are suppose to have their meetings.

I’m puzzled about the same thing, actually. Even if it does still show up in some event before Dragon Bash ends, it still would’ve been nice to have some special music in LA, because right now the mood really isn’t right with the default music. They clearly composed several new thingies for this event, yet none of it is actually in the game aside from a little instrumental piece in a very specfic place in LA barely anyone ever visits.

I definitely wish there was Dragon Bash music playing in LA. They did it during Winsterday with the Tixx theme, and they’ve already got at least one or two remixes of the Dragon Bash song, so why not play them in-game? You can sit at the character select screen to hear one, but why only there and not while I’m standing around LA?

I’m expecting the music to start when the climax of the festival begins: the effigy lighting.
