Is the 1 gold reward from that guarding the dolyak story ment to be used on the WP fee’s for burning them trees?

50x WP fee = more then 1g!

PS. No I have no intrest in walking to all of them ( give me mounts and I do that)

Wow, that’s lazy. Give me mounts to walk a bit? How do you get around the world for other stuff?

Use an alt. Their WP fees are lower.
Check dulfy and strategize. There are plenty of quick paths to grab a handful of effigies without needing to WP.

Here’s an easy 1g. Now find a reason to complain about it.

I’m doing the wping with my low level warrior. Sixteen copper to get across the whole world? Yes please!

Use your legs.
Use guesting (3 effigies instead of one).
Use a low level character.

You can get almost perma swiftness on most classes, no need for mounts.

You vould also spread out your effigy-burning over several days, pick them up as you play on maps anyway, or simply wait for them to respawn.

Not to mention you don’t need that achievement for the wings, if that’s what you’re after. Just wait for the next story bit to be added today.

Considering that ANet’s in America on the west coast, it is currently ~9am there. I would expect the update to drop within the next 4 hours or so.
