It is possible to instantly ignite effigies so you don’t have to sit there forever while it casts.

Interact with the effigy.
Dodge away.
Instant ignition.

May this save you some time.

good tip, i was running up hitting f then opening the map and finding the next waypoint, as soon as you hear the flames and crackle you can tp…but i guess i don’t have to wait for that now

Or swap weapons.

Can also swap weapons for the same result, apparently. Given how looong the igniting animation is I wonder if the dev put these in there on purpose because they knew how annoyed players would be at having to wait at each effigy.

Don’t even need to dodge, just move away and the channel will cancel and the effigy will be instantly lit.

You just need to move back a little.

Watching this dance once, twice, three times may be ok, but it’s too repatable and too boring by the time you are doing 10th effigy. By the time you get halfway, you will do anything to make it go faster.

Anything that breaks the channel instantly lights the effigy.

This because ANet seems to have intended for us to use the effigies as temporary health boosts (2% pr unit in the stack, with a max stack size of 5, or 10% extra health. Not sure if it matters in the grand scheme of things tho) for the rest of the month rather than grind them for the achievement within hours.

We can dance if we want to. We can leave your friends behind.
Cause your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance, well they’re no friends of mine.

I enjoy it.

I knew I had to ignite effigies, but the dance hit me unprepared. Still makes me laugh every time.

I’m glad that you can duck out of the dance (for those who don’t have the time or other reasons not to) but I am easily amused.
