Do you have a favourite moa racer? If so, who is it? Or do you rotate through them? Or pick one randomly?

I’ve been placing bets on all of them, but my favourite is Mortt. I just love the colours.

My boyfriend likes to place bets on the mystery moa, but I don’t know wether he has a favourite among them.

Meep..won first race with him. Then morti on race 2. I didnt get my 3rd win until about 10 later with motti. Btw, the return on a 50s bet is 44s on average..so it is not terrible.

How does the mystery moa work? Is it just one of the other 4? If you pick it do you get a 75% chance of ‘not’ losing? Or is it some nameless, faceless contender because they couldn’t think of a 5th moa name, and it has a 20% chance like the rest? :|

Monna because Pink Moa is my favourite moa.
I will not go for the mini, though. If I there were multiple types of minis and I could get Mini Monna, I would.

It’s just a pointless gimmick. The mystery moa might have a different name each time but it may as well be called mystery because it makes no difference. In the end, it still has just as high a chance of losing as any of the other birds.

Motti! He is definitely my favorite, and also my first win.

Motti was my ticket haul, stuck with her all the way through. S/he won pretty good, but got the losing streak like all the others. But s/he tended to at least place in the top 3 pretty often. Doubt anyone was boosting her/him either, everyone on overflow was too lazy for that.

It’s just a pointless gimmick. The mystery moa might have a different name each time but it may as well be called mystery because it makes no difference. In the end, it still has just as high a chance of losing as any of the other birds.

Motti is ma boi! Monna scores pretty well on a frequent basis too, so I swap between her and Motti sometimes.

Meep is a sham. He has brought nothing but disappointment to me and shame to his racing family. >:( Back to the ranch with you, boy!

I also noticed that Mork (the Black Moa) always seems to win whenever he shows up.

Regarding the black moa winning a lot of races, I was under a similar impression. Maybe there’s more to the mystery moas after all.

Got my achievement with Motti, I only lost 2g.

Mystery three(Mokk, Muggo, Myxx) are my favorite. Since they won’t get 5th place as I observed, they are good indicators for bidding.

In fact it seems the game rolls a dice before each race determining which predetermined race will be runned. It means that each time a moa wins, the order of the other moas will always be the same. You can find the patterns here :

About the Mystery Moa, it seems the roll deciding which mystery moa will run the race is independant of the one determining which predtermined race will be chosen. So any of them can win and all the mystery Moa have the same probability to win.

Reading the above makes me wonder whether there is just one set of race animations. So: can you tell from the position of each moa in the line-up (from left to right) who’s going to win the race?

I will observe this for a bit next time I have time to play.

My favorite is Mokk, the Black Moa of the three Mystery Races. This has nothing to do with my race strategy, though, I just think Black Moas are cool.

I am almost certain that this is the case, I just don’t know the specific pattern yet cause they don’t stay in the line up long enough.

I watched them for a bit tonight and I’m pretty sure I can disconfirm this. It seems that any starting position can produce a winner. Confusing.

I always bet on Motti because he seems to win most often.

But I have to admit I like the mystery moas. Especially Myxx (gold) I was disappointed that you couldn’t have a gold moa as a ranger pet.

It really all boils down to which Moa uses Dash first in the final quarter of the race. Even if the Moa was dead last, using Dash will propel them beyond all the competition because it lasts long enough that they can Dash all the way to the finish line.

Mortt, after watching him some races I placed my only 3 bets so far on him: 3rd, 1st, 1st and title on 3 attemps with 1.5 gold gain

He usually has a regular start but at the end he rushes for the win! If he’s with the group when he makes the rush he will give you money

In my server there is a lot of love for Motti, but Motti usually starts really strong and then when it matters he has burned all he has and can’t make it.
