is this entire flamekissed story some kind of bad joke ? first you release the t3 human for all races (i was totally cool with that, it looks awesome on female norn). then you take it back… and release FEATHERED SET IN SHINY?
don’t get me wrong, my norn mesmer is wearing the feathered leggins since october 2012… but it’s just that i was expecting something special to come and in my opinion this shiny feathered set isn’t THAT great compared to the regular feathered set… i can’t tell you how much of a disappointment this is to me, i was eagerly awaiting the new flamekissed design more than any of the living story updates or whatever else you release, and then you just throw out the feathered armor set…
I actually think the new feathered flamekissed looks awesome and will be buying a set for my asura ele. The medium and heavy on the other hand remain uglier than sin, but to each their own.
They should have left the original set alone. I’m disappointed just from how terrible it looks, sadly I expected it to turn out this way considering the other two skins and the amount of complaints over the original since you had to spend a lot of gold in game in order to acquire the normal set.

That’s what I’m saying I thought they were ugly too until I played around with dyes and got a sweet color match
This is not the armor I bought. I want a gem refund or my armor returned to human T3 with flames. How can you take something back after you sell it? That’s not how the barter systems works.
Personally, I’m pretty disappointed. They changed it from human t3 cultural because everyone was complaining, and rightfully so. Just I would hope that they would comeback by making it better looking than human t3.
Maybe it looks alright on females, but it looks horrendous on all my human males. I never was a fan of the armors that randomly show skin though..

Yes you can get a refund but it comes at an inconvenience of the customer to now have to deal with asking for one. People spent real world money to buy the gems for an armor set that got recalled. These customers waited to see what the new skin would be expecting something original since what they paid for was being taken away. Instead it was a lazy reskin.
It isn’t right, it is just sloppy. Basically Anet said, “Here you go. Now go talk to customer service because we don’t care anymore.” From a customer standpoint I would think something better than a generic reskin should be expected after they took your money to start with.

“Really nice” is clearly a subjective statement. Very opinion, so wow. I, for example, think the new one is indeed very nice, and I’ll be buying a set. If you don’t think its really nice, then take the refund and/or don’t buy it. Simple. Anet can’t create something to replace the old one that covers everyones definition of “really nice” because such a concept differs drastically from person to person.

Out of curiosity, which existing, non-dungeon, non-cultural armor would people have preferred to be reskinned for flamekissed? Personally I don’t feel like any of them fit the “flame” theme aesthetically any better than the feathered set.
