Just as the title says, I’m curious what people are doing with their Found Belongings.

I’ll be picking up a Gift of Blades, of course, even if I can’t craft ascended gear yet, but that still leaves me with another ~500 or so, which is going to be even more before this release ends. There’s no particular reason to pick up Gift of Blades recipes for more than one craft, so that’s a lot to burn through.

Currently leaning on converting as many as I can into Obsidian Shards, since I need those anyway for crafting ascended, and they seem pretty efficient in terms of cost, storage space, etc.

You’re going to need a lot of Watchwork Sprocket for that ascended back piece.

Tomes of Knowledge, because Anet won’t let me buy a lvl 80 one.

Tomes of Knowledge would be the best use for them. Guest to a server with balth open will get you obby shards much easier and watchwork sprockets are a dime-a-dozen on the TP.

Watchwork sprockets and obsidian shards, that’s pretty much what I’m spending it on. Now, if only I had another use for the blade shards because I already made 3 of those back pieces for my character and 2 alts; I don’t need anymore spinal back pieces.

Tomes of Knowledge are better to buy.

As given above, obsidian shards can be cheaply bought with karma.

Gift of blades recipe is also sold for pure gold by Miyanni for 5 gold (instead of 3g and 250 belongings).

I’m working on legendary and got the recipe and other items unique to this even for when thats done and I can invest in leveling crafting to 500 but I bought it from Miyanni for the higher price. The belongings I spend on obsidian shards. They are hard enough to come buy and needed for both ascended gear and legendary gear.

They are cheap on the TP, especially if you have a storage slot maxed out already.

Right now i am using belonging for those shards needed for acended material refinement.

I have my Gift of Blades, and have since been acquiring Tomes of Knowledge.

Tome of Knowledge was a easy choice for me. Got my third alt to level 80. Quite thankful to see the tomes in PvE cause I never had enough glory earned to buy any in PvP.

I did buy the Ascended recipe too, just in case. But nothing else was really needed, as I still have a ton of Obsidian shards from karma.

All my alts are lvl 80 so I got nothing but mining pick and so on.

I have been buying candy corn, which is the best moneymaker.

I’ve just bought the 3 Gift of Blades recipes for my 3 crafters, so now I’m accumulating Obsidian Shards. Yes, karma is “cheaper”, but I have plenty of the other supplies.

Gift of Blades and Tomes of Knowledge. Being able to earn decent karma playing and leveling an alt or two at the same time is a good deal.

Now you tell me! Arrgh! I’d have gotten a lot of obsidian shards instead of two recipes if I’d known that (not being a regular Forger, I seldom talk to Miyani). Making the bricks and such are nice skillups for my non 500s.

Well, I made a Superior Sigil Of Torment for my Condimancer, so I bought a bunch of toxic spores to replace the ones I spent… other than that and recipes for Gift of Blades, it’s been level-up tomes.

Everything goes into Obsidian Shards for me. I got the leatherworking recipe, but everything else.

whatever can be sold at a high price….if anything can be sold…..

I stocked up on a few obsidians since I am saving up karma on an alt, next will be tomes, after that likely some food items (like peaches for recreational dye crafting).

I’ve already bought the Leatherworker Gift of Blades recipe. The rest of my Belongings are probably going to go towards mostly Obsidian Shards and maybe some Watchwork Sprockets (I might need a few more pieces of Zealot gear, and maybe some of the runes / sigils, and of course Gift of Blades itself). Possibly a few cooking ingredients.

I actually enjoy leveling up new characters, so I won’t be getting any Tomes. And most of the other rewards seem meh. I wouldn’t mind getting more Pristine Spore Samples if they came in multiples (maybe 5) since I might possibly end up using some of the sigils / runes or recipes that use them, but since you only get 1 it doesn’t seem like a very good deal to me.

Well… I bought the three Git of Blades recipes (yes… all three… because I like collecting recipes). The rest will most likely go to Tomes of Knowledge because I have several alts that need levels.
