When scarlet attacks LA almost certainly the mystic forge will blow up. What do people think will happen when this occurs?

Seeing as it takes ~2500 rares to forge a precursor (or ~800 exotics) and there are 4-5 greatsword precursors sold per day (See John Smiths post about dusk and dawn sales). That means since launch there has been something like 5,100,000 greatswords thrown into the forge…

Do they all come out when it blows up? I’m pretty sure with that many greatswords raining down from the sky we won’t even need to fight, scarlets army will be destroyed by the great greatsword rain.

Or the greatsword rain will damage us.

Our incessant and terrible addiction to gambling will surely kill us all!

Or it completely ends the way precursors are currently made…

Everyone will rejoice, no matter what else happens.

When the mystic forge blows up, so do all legendaries as they are all part of Zomoro himself. Wouldn’t that be great fun?

I’d been pondering what happens when the Mystic Forge gets crushed as well. Although, my thoughts tended to wander more along the lines of:

Will Zommoros be happy or kittened off?

Will he be thankful to Scarlet, in turn aiding her for her helping him escape?
Or is he just as likely to blast her with his rage?
Or perhaps he just runs off to go about his own business?
(Typical movie scenario here, could go either way)

What does he do with all the weapons, materials, and other junk that we dump on him? Has he been turning it into other things for personal use in his prison? Maybe he was plotting his own escape and we’ve been stupidly supplying him with goodies. Perhaps he consumes some of the items as nourishment? What does a djinn eat anyway?

Are we going to have to hunt him down later and stick him back in a rebuilt mystic forge?
Or maybe instead we will track him down and offer him gifts to earn his favor?

Then again…. perhaps the mystic forge is actually indestructible, and therefore does not get destroyed with the fall of lions arch. However, now it’s just not quite so easy to access it to dump stuff on the djinn in hopes of better shinies.

While that’s probably the most likely scenario, it’s a heck of a lot less fun to think about.

At the very least, the portable ones are essentially just “portals” into the real Mystic Forge (as evidenced by the names Conduit and Node). Perhaps the others are the same, just made to look like the real thing.

So basically this but swords instead of watermelons.

As the mystic forge explodes, all it’s magical content will rain all over tyria. Hero’s of the first hour will be able to pick up a gazillion weapons and armour off the ground in all zones.

Hmm I think that the explosion will create a mystic black hole that will suck in every single piece of equipment and crafting material still left in the world. Even the ones we have in ours banks and the ones we are wearing. After that it will spit out one Major Rune of Rage and disappear.

Zommorros isnt really trapped there, he just lives there.

His lore states he’s “imprisoned” there. True, that imprisonment could be of his own choosing, but one is inclined to believe it would use a different word if this had been voluntary. Maybe not, we don’t have a lot of lore on him either way.

Still the use of the word “imprisoned” does sort of incline one to believe that he can’t exactly leave if he chose to, considering to be imprisoned by definition is to be held in prison or held captive.

Of course his being stuck in there could have been an accident too….

Whole new set of things to ponder.

There is a working mystic forge in the Royal Terrace

I’m fairly sure there will be another one pop up some place.

Possibly in Vigil HQ. Now that will look quite interesting place now
The WvW has no lore tho. We can be happy to have MF there, very handy for me!

There was an article on massively or some such MMO news site that says all the LA features, like the mystic forge will be at the vigil.

I hope it is picture related happens x 100. I am tired with LA being the center of all Living Stories.

Everything that was ever thrown into the Mystic Forge is thrown out again in a massive loot explosion the likes of which no MMO has ever seen…

The waypoint has been contested forever, cant make it in, so might as well attack it.

Zomorros selects one pure-hearted young girl to save Tyria by overcoming Scarlet with the Power of Friendship and that is how we get Magitechnical Girl Synergistics Taimi.

I believe Anet stated that 170 million greens and 1 precursor will be spewed out, with the precursor going to a trial account player.

I have a brilliant idea: no more MF in Vigil’s keep, people will have to cap Garri or SM to have a forge.

I don’t think it will blow up. We’ll just see Scarlett there tossing in items looking for the RNG recipe that actually makes it blow up.
