Dear ArenaNet..
I disagree. They designed the game, they have the actual statistics of gameplay (I mean in game statistics, not adhoc forum polls made by users), they have a real overview of the game. So I trust them to know what they are doing.
Just one complain: I wish they informed a little better about changes so we know why they implement certain changes and what exactly they implemented.
I agree with the OP, on the other hand.
So you think its fine that you can do a 4 part Dynamic Event chain that takes 45min – 1hour and by the time you’re done it THIS ONE CHAIN you are getting diminishing returns which at level 80 in Orr end up being 360 karma and 1.8 silver down to 19 Karma and 9copper? REALLY 9 copper at level 80? It’s ridiculously overkill.
I understand ArenaNet has stats etc but they also seem to be hellbent on eliminating bots and not thinking about the impact this has on your normal everyday non casual (I’m not meaning full no life hardcore) player. I play maybe 3-4hrs every day or 2 and I see these problems hitting me. This should not be the case it should be the bots and (even though I don’t agree with this part) hardcore players doing it 24/7 or 8-10hrs a day.
I think they made their money, the store is working, and they could care less at this point. No other explanation fits the last few nerfs.
What gets me is the game was sold on “taking the grind out of MMO’s” then they put in Karma weapons that cost 64k karma, armour sets that cost 212k karma, cultural sets that cost 120 gold and dungeon sets that take 70+ runs to get the badges for, then destroy any ability to farm anything in order to reach these obscene token/karma/gold prices, and expect people not to argue back?
Whiteside Ridge
So how long do I have to wait before I can actually get normal rewards from DE’s? I just did 3 and got low karma/xp and 6 coins for each one. 6 coins is laughable. I cant help that these events happen so fast after each other that it hits the DR. I’m being penalised for playing the game how its meant to be played

The point is that they are meant to take some time to get. If you can only get them quickly by farming particular areas, then that encourages people to play the game in a “gamey” way rather than as a virtual world. That would alienate the many of us who really don’t like farming and prefer to experience all the content that Arenanet have designed. That said, in return for nerfing farming, I reckon they do need to make it possible to get the mats and karma over much more of the content.

The point is that they promised us no grind in order to be ready for endgame. However, some of their endgame is so hard, you need full yellow at the very, very least to participate. In reality, full orange is recommended and you’ll still face tough challenges. The only way to full yellow or full orange is grind.
