I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem, but I’ve had a group wipe at the last boss a few times and it doesn’t seem to matter which waypoint within the dungeon we choose once everyone releases (and sometimes before everyone gets a chance) we are immediately ported back to an active boss fight not giving us time to change any weapons, abilities, or repair. I’ve done the dungeon twice now (Tuesday and Wednesday) and this has happened each time.
It happened to us too on the day the dungeon first came out. We didnt wipe out yesterday when we completed it so i am guessing it is still happening…
When i tried to duo that dungeon. I teleported first and could repair, but as soon as my partner tried to teleport too we both got teleported back to the boss as soon as she got out of the loading screen, so she couldnt repair too
So i am guessing as soon as the last person that was still dead revive/teleport to waypoint, it will teleport everyone back to the boss
My theory is they wanted to make sure that no one cheat by trying to lure one of those 2 boss away from the center and kill em 1 by one lol but they went a little too far

Agreed, it sucks when your armor is broken and you can’t repair or you can’t even swap weapons to try a different tactic with the boss. I guess next time we will have to rotate how we release (assuming we wipe).
I’m sorry you guys are experiencing this problem, it is most definitely a bug. We are testing a fix that should solve this issue.
What you call a bug, I call a feature….ie saves you the run back and a reset on the boss.
We noticed that the insta-port happens when the last member of the party tries to go to a waypoint (yes, we were wiped that many times on our first run).
Once we knew that, we took turns to fix up the armor, leaving one brave soul waiting in the arena.

It’s happened to me before when I didn’t try to WP at all. IIRC two of us remained dead and needed reviving during the next attempt.
^^ Had the same problem as LameFox. Looking forward to this being fixed soon.
There’s a way around this nasty bug: as long as there’s one person dead rest can deal with repairs and skill changes, as soon as 5th respawns it’s insta-port
I also experienced this every single time we wiped at the last boss. I actually thought it’s meant to be that way, because it ALWAYS happened! Good to know, that it’s a bug
I don’t like any of the porting. People just run ahead and, bam loading screen and disorientation. We tell them to stay with the group, but some never listen. I don’t mind lock-outs for fight, where you have to all cross the “gate” together. If you’re going port, put an interaction required before the fight starts.

While I found it kind of handy that I could (some of the time anyway) go repair and was warped back without having to run from a waypoint, in principle I agree with you. I would gladly sacrifice the added convenience for clarity and consistency.

Put port on interaction, done. “You all ready? Starting!” port

And no, it would be way better to just place a waypoint next to the boss fight since people can’t res mid-combat anymore. Then people still get time to repair gear, change weapons/skills and discuss a strategy, but without the long walk.

For that matter one of the prisoners you release could become an armor repair person with a waypoint right outside the boss fight. Take the tedium out of having to run back after repairs.
Luckily no one in my group was defeated enough to actually break pieces of armor! I did notice this same issue happening, but with no broken gear it only worked to speed things up for us… at least by a few seconds :P I can certainly see this being a problem with broken gear or wanting to change weapons though.
Had this happen to me like 5x in a row. I thought it was a feature, saved us the trouble of having to run back lol
