Does anyone else think that we may be facing Primordus after the flame and frost saga or that he is somehow behind it?

I believe Colin or some of the other senior devs have already stated that no dragons will be involved in the current Living Story, so I don’t see him being a part of it during this last phase.

Could it lead to another Living Story chapter where we get to fight a dragon? I believe so.

No. Until either the Dwarves return to Tyria, defeated, or they’re all wiped out, then Primortus will stay underground fighting the Dwarven stone army.

I thought that the whole thing reeked of Primodus, so when the devs announced that he had nothing to do with anything, I was a little disappointed. Howeverrrr, maybe I am thinking too cliché. Why wouldn’t the Dredge and Flame Legion bond over common interests? It doesn’t NEED a dragon and maybe whatever the devs have planned for Primordus will be something different and awesome.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it lead to a future story. The Flame Legion used to worship Destroyers, after all. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out Primordius got his hooks into some Shamans. And the Dredge could easily go the “Enemy of my Enemy” route, seeing as how all but one of the surviving Dwarves are allegedly down below fighting him and his minions. But yeah, that would be a little ambitious for the portion of this story remaining.

Ah I wasn’t aware that the devs said something about it.

I was under the impression that Primordus was the first to rise and will be the last to fall.

I’m guessing that Jormag will attack when the North Shiverpeaks open, Kralkattorik will come when the Crystal Desert opens, and Primordus will be found in the Ring of Fire islands. Fairly obvious maybe, but I’m betting that new dragons will only be available with expansions.
