Yes, I’m going to run the dungeon a few more times, but not, I don’t believe the jetpack will magically drop for me.

However, last night I found out that… that’s cool.

I imagined that the dungeon had a chance to drop one out of these four limited prizes:
- firestorm mini
- berzerker tonic
- jetpack skin
- drill toy

I would have totally, totally wanted the drill toy over the jetpack. The jetpack looks cool, but it is just a skin. The drill… does stuff.

Now if the jetpack had been for sale for 250 gems, and the drill was the super rare dungeon drop, that would have been worse… for me anyway.

So I feel that despite RNG hate and despite having to buy gems (although 250 is arguably on the low end of the scale) – I feel I came out on top.

Don’t know, maybe this will lift some of the frustration for some other players as well.

I run the new dungeon to learn playing my fresh level 80 Mesmer, to get some money to upgrade her gear, and hey, if I’m lucky enough to find a Jetpack, that’s awesome. Of course I hope to find one, but I don’t expect to. I’m not setting myself up for disappointment if I don’t find one before the dungeon is gone.

I’ve ran it like 30 times. I’ve only gotten the mini.

As long as its skins and such, I do not mind RNG too much. However I do hope Anet decides to add some “low end” skins as well eventually, not just very hard to get ones. I have neither the time nor desire to run a certain dungeon hundreds of times, but having some easier to access new skins now and then would be cool. Like they did with the gauntlets, I am happy about that.

But some new easy to get hold of skins for both armor and weapons, even at lower levels, would go a long way. They don’t have to be super flashy, or have lots of effects, just some more variety and alternatives.

Lucky, literally the only thing I want is the mini. I’m at 50+ runs and only gotten the tonic. Guess I’ll just dish out the gold for it, I’m getting tired of the constant runs.

I’ve lost count of the runs, got nothing unique to the dungeon whatsoever, but made ~40g in the process off random stuff (in the last few days I sort of stopped, it’d be more by now otherwise). If nothing else it paid for an extra row of bank stuff after I spent my gold on gems to transfer, and also paid for some new exotic equipment for my engineer.

I’ll probably live.

edit: well, the recipes might be unique, but… well, they’re worth nothing. Oddly I did get two totally random exotics though, non-named, but most of it’s just been from generic loot.

I’d gladly give up any chance of getting the jet pack, the guantlets and anything else for a guaranteed mini drop. It’s the only thing I’m interested in.

People who want the gauntlets are the lucky ones IMO because they’ve got that guaranteed drop. I wish we could trade the token in for any of the exclusive items, even if it means losing out on the others.

We’ve just had 3 molten tonics dropping (on three different people) – better than nothing!
