Rewarded Jugs of Karma not stacking
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
I’ve had the same issue.
They need to stack, or they need a new icon and name..
I doubt this unstackable jug was intentional, would be nice if ANET would say one way or the other though. It’d be a quick-fix that’s currently kitten a bunch of people off.
Agreed. A fix for this would be nice.
I am wondering why its a different yet duplicated item.
Different amount maybe?
The question is answered by the OP him/herself. They don’t stack becouse they are different items. Normal ones you get from dailies are soulbound, these however are not.
Guess it’s becouse they tought you mught have a karma hoarder main. It’s actually a feature I think.

When did the Karma Jugs from doing dailies become soulbound? I always toss the jugs from that reward into my bank, and they stack fine regardless of which character completed the daily… this means they can’t be soulbound unless that changed since the last patch, and I just missed it (done the daily on the same character the last few days so I could have.)
Account bound, yes. Soulbound, no. Unless it was changed, of course.

Thats what I thought. I do the same thing (have a stack of 80something I think), though lately I’ve just been using the jugs as I get them.

This is not bugged, it’s by design. It’s a different type of liquid karma item that will give you an amount of karma appropriate to your level when used, which is why it doesn’t stack with the others.
Ahh…thank you for explaining the difference. Though it would be nice if these had a slightly different name or icon, so we would know which ones are level-dependent.
So why wasn’t a different item name used then? (i.e. “Aged Jug of Karma”) It’s highly confusing with the same graphic icon too.
Just keep the name, but add flavor text: “doesn’t stack well with others.”
Diferent type of liquid karma with the same name and icon of the ones rewarded by daily and monthly achivement. Great content design.

How many pages/letters you can get of each? Only once or 1/day/account?
Ohhh… Thanks for the explanation, Matthew. I guess it doesn’t make a difference as all of my characters are level 80.
@toafarmer: Supposedly the pages/letters can be collected multiple times, although when I went in the dungeon for my 2nd run last night, they still hadn’t respawned despite it being more than 24 hours since my first run. However, I hadn’t drank any of the 3 Jugs of Karma I’d received for them yet. I’ll do a 3rd run of the dungeon tonight and see whether they’ve respawned.

Lets hope so… if I knew the reward was karma and it was account based, Id prefer to keep the pages as souvenir instead of taking the karma jugs.
Level-based karma jugs? What a strange thing to add. Karma is already pretty worthless, and you get the larger jugs through dailies no matter what level you are – would a one time turnin of a few thousand more karma on a lowbie really be a big deal at all?
I don’t really care, since like I said, karma is pretty much worthless. It just seems like an odd thing to go through the effort of creating.

Perhaps you should have named it something else then to prevent confusion. Maybe give it a unique icon like the charr child drawing.
so I believe you can only get 1 of each / account. stupid idea for such an useless reward.
Yep, I’m pretty sure that each item is only picked up once per account. Despite having drunk the 3 Jugs on Friday, and doing several runs on Sat/Sun, the items never respawned.
Oh well. 13,500 karma still isn’t bad.
Yeah, level based karma jugs was a pretty bone headed decision. You get a full jug for finishing dailies even at level 1, not to mention the fact that you can dump multiple stacks of them onto a brand new character if you wanted to and saved them up.
The fact that they shared the same name and graphic was even dumber, I have a feeling this ‘design’ was a last minute thing someone thought necessary. This is why it isn’t a good idea to make critical decisions while stoned.
Do they give the same amount of Karma as the daily if used by a level 80? If yes, then there really wasnt a point to it because you can only do it once during a 2 week window.
Although it might foreshadow a change to daily jugs?

Maybe it would have been cool then to give them a different name. The fact that confusion exists (forum posts, people trying to log bugs, etc.) indicates that it’s a bit of a missed target.
To brutally stretch a tortured analogy, it’d be a bit like having a stop light where there were two red lights instead of a yellow in there. One’s a bit more red than the other, but you don’t know that until you get really confused after getting a ticket and going to court; the judge says, “Oh yeah. That’s by design, it saves on yellow bulbs.”
