i spent 13g for 500 gems and bought 5 flame dyes i got 3 crap and rare worth 21g on tp,did the same again and bought 5 frost and got 5 common ones which i already had, now i have to farm another 13g to try again,

the dyes aren’t even good colors, worst of all they don’t even have a glow . If you buy one of them 21g you should be licking bus windows

Can we take this up with whoever hired Cox? Everyone knows she’s the person to blame for this degradation, but I want to know the reason for taking her on to begin with. Did Anet not make enough with GW1’s cash shop that we need to resort to calling in the master of bs? I, and apparently several others present, will never give them another cent if this blatant player abuse/forced gambling doesn’t stop.

I’d give Cox a raise. Honestly if you think about it, they just made Anet a huge profit. It’s a smart call, looking at it from a business position. It’s a job, that needs to be kept in your mind as well.

I don’t know. Yes, some people are dumping a lot of money into the lottery that it is.

I, on the other hand, WOULD be spending real money if I knew what was in the dye packs; this way, I simply refuse. I guess there are others who see it the same way.

I guess the bottom line is that the lottery system is financially better for ANet, or otherwise they wouldn’t do it this way. /shrug

It is. It’s the same reason why casinos almost always do well. A LOT of people like to gamble, and of those people, there’s a sub-set that are willing to drop a massive chunk of money on it. The reluctance of people to cut their losses when they’re already sunk a large amount of money into an endeavour means that they’re also unlikely to stop and walk away, instead just plowing more money into the casino in the hopes that NEXT time their luck will change.
