It is basically an hour of game play with nothing to show for it! I have no idea what they were thinking on this. I opened maybe 200 and decided it was not worth my time in the gauntlet. Based on forum posts and my experience I just cannot find any reason to try for this recipe any longer.
Agreed. I opened just over a stack of chances and didn’t get anything other than tokens. Not even enough of them to trade in for something slightly interesting. Now that I’ve ran out of tickets and can’t be bothered to either earn or buy more, I guess I’m done with the gauntlet.
The festival is going to be until July 1st, so I believe that’s why Anet hasn’t touched the drop rate.
People are going to farm less and less, which will mean the value will stay relatively the same, so I don’t think an extra 4 weeks will change much. Heck, they could let it go for a year and I’d bet that prices would still be in the 300g range.

Incinerator I was able to make after the first ever Karka event when a lot of people got precursors from the Queen (I myself didn’t get one) and the market got flooded and tanked, Spark cost me 130g on a buy order.
Quip took me a while to get because at first I didn’t want it, but I liked the Chaos Gun skin, funnily enough, at the time Ilya and Lyss were 3 times the price of Chaos Gun which I picked up for 50g.
Bolt I made two weeks ago from playing around with the forge and was lucky enough to get 2 Zaps and 2 Lovers over the course of a few weeks at a total cost of around 200g in exos.
As for not playing a lot, I’ve been playing since beta. I’m also R80 PvP and was in the 60s before the April patch that gave everyone a dragon.

I don’t agree, my friend is currently making his 3rd legendary in as many weeks because like me, he got very lucky with the forge this last month with 8 precursors. He has also been playing for the same amount of time as is also an R80 in PvP.
You are making sweeping generalisations because people have what you don’t and want to think that these people are low skill, hardly play, must play with spreadsheets, must buy gems, any stupid excuse just to make yourself feel better ranting away because people have something you don’t.

i open around 1000 today and not get a singel dwayna or grenth
maybe they believe this items are to cheap and set the drop rate down
and the lyssa is now "TO"low
i rly hope for a hotfix
to at least increase drop rate

When I saw this wall of text, I thought you had written a poem about Chaos of Lyssa’s drop rate lol!
Anet really should have put in a reverse-diminishing returns mechanic into the chance bags: each time you open one and get nothing (aside from one lousy token), it increases the chance to get something, and once you do get something, the chance resets back to the base chance.
That way people who actually grind thousands of chance bags actually get something for their effort while still letting people get incredibly lucky.
Best not to laugh yet….initial reports seem to indicate that the drop rate may still be incredibly low, despite changes.
Reminds me of the adjustments to ascended boxes from guild missions and wvw. Even after the change you will be lucky to see one in solid months of trying.
As a VERY casual player who got his recipe from his 50th gauntlet chance, I still agree that this is completely unfair, even though it happened to work out in my favor. There’s no reason I should have something that other people farm endlessly for and never get. I didn’t try at all.
