I make this post because I feel it is but ask the community for some feedback.

So, FINALLY we can get rid of Blade Shards but given they still drop from Atherblades and Watchwork sprockets should we hold onto them?

Fortune scraps are now useless so there is no point to hold onto them anymore, or should we? However Gauntlet tickets are still useful so it was worthwhile holding onto them.

SAB baubles were easy to farm W1 but by W2 were heavily restricted. This one I benefited from as I’d had a lot saved up from W1. But still…

Getting back to Season 1, I had collected a bunch of heirlooms that I failed to trade in. In cases like this it was communicated there was a time limit, assuming of course you check the forums regularly. But even this I still see as a dilemma, should I hold onto them on the off chance they make a return?

These are a few points that came to mind, people have others. Do others feel that Trophies are unnecessarily convoluted and created a faux pas of trophy management. You may note that i asked questions during this post, the GW2 community can only provide a ‘best guess’ at this time.

EDIT: Just realised Blade Shards aren’t trophies and are considered mystic items??

I agree.

I see why they feel the need to constantly introduce new currencies, sucks for me as a player but I see the point.

Clear communication would certainly take the edge off, though!

I’d love to know this as well. I understand event-specific currencies, but I think that after the event they should go into an “Event Collection Bank Tab.” If they don’t become deposit-able after the event, we know to trash em. That’d clear things up nicely.

True and even if we get a huge amount of said item events that don’t realistically fit into one 250 stack, and were forced to consider extra storage (gemstore sales) to hold said items, that’s acceptable.

It becomes a nice trade off, rather than MAYBE you can use.

The less they tell you, the more you hoard. The more you hoard, the less bank space you have. The less bank space you have, the more bank slots you need to buy with gems. The more you buy with gems, the more chance you do it with real money.

Both points accomplish the same thing however one frustrates people and puts them on edge with what to do with said items, the other is seen as a healthy trade off knowing you will be rewarded for holding onto them.

Anet can give me as many trophies as they want but I’m not going to buy bank space. I am just going to create more personal guild banks haha.

last I checked,
you cant put account bound items into guild bank.

You can still use the festive scraps (if you have enough), you take them to the black lion merchant dude (that takes the bl tickets). Those that are left though…

In addition to what op has, I still have some of the codex fragments. What do we do with those? I want to just delete all these trophies, but I’m sure after we do, they’ll add something that’ll convert all them to something else that can be use…
