List your ideas for Mistlock Instabilities. They can be fun, interesting, realistic, challenging, speculative…whatever you want. Keep it clean please.
Real Mistlock Instabilities (add 30 to get the difficulty level):

How about during the Urban Battlegrounds fractal, you are attacked by the Ascalonians as normal, but the Flame Legion Charr attack you as well?
How about an Instability that gives you an effect similar to a quaggan’s “Hulk Smash!” ability. So if you take x amount of damage/hits, you go berserk, have your skills replaced with a new set that do a lot of damage, but you take double damage from foes. You can turn back to normal by not getting hit by something for x amount of seconds.
fight maul with the aeither cannons shooting. Idea is you are stuck between war of aiether blades and the leviathan. Pirates and sea monsters what else would go together better
Here are my ideas so far. Some are more fun than realistic. I’ll list them in approximate order of difficulty.

Some realistic/more likely extreme ones.
Dodging takes both bars of endurance
Endurance fills 50% slower
Ranged weapons have their range cut in half
Melee weapons are not allowed/have their cds increased by 50-100%
Jumping costs 1 bar of endurance
Reduced movement speed by 25-50%
Reduce direct damage by 50%
Reduce condi duration by 50%
Something similar to the toxic hallucinations, where the enemies can spawn more reinforcements, or just similar to toxin where you constantly take DoT
Reduced vision – enemies X range away are invisible to you (don’t know if that can be done)
You are turned into an animal/have a new skill set
Maybe some direct changes to the Agro mechanic (farthest person away will always be targeted by range, for example).
I consider chaos rifts as a model for the instability lost of control of mist dungeon distorting. Being teleported from one fractal to the next to the next. Fabric of space and time being riped. Abandon or giant grabbing member and pulling them through a rift. You now have to finish it 4maned. That kind of level of absolute insanity. Not just buffs and conditions. Dugions are called out of the mist and formed by Desda so really it is anything goes in there.
All veteran enemies are elite.
All enemies inflict agony.
Boons are useless for everyone (gg Ascalon fractal)
Rolling causes you to trip.
Everyone has quickness
“Hidden” landmines
Stupid ideas
-Trahearne comes, gets your chest instead of you along with the fractal level advancement
-all the enemies are quaggans (so you can’t distinguish between them)
-fractal tribulation mode – invisible traps everywhere (i would play this, though)
-moon gravity
More serious ones
-endurance regeneration halved
-single dodge (it consumes all the endurance bar)
-No dodge (have fun)
-All enemies reflect projectiles (say hello to engineers)
-Control skill don’t work
-Both players and enemies regen health
-Enemies skills are unblockable (say goodbye to projectile reflects)
In this fractal the Aegis boon doesn’t exist…
Reverse Ninja Law, if you have an ally(must be a player) within 300 yards of you you deal 5% less damage and take 1% of your healthbar as damage per second, stacks.
Friendly Fire: Mob attacks can damage other mobs. Player attacks can damage other players.
Extreme Conditioning: Condition damage multiplied by 5, direct damage halved. Applies to all mobs and players, except for Agony.
Toxic Environment: 10 seconds of toxic pollen are applied to all players every 10 seconds, as the condition from the tower of nightmares update.
Reverse Ninja Law, if you have an ally(must be a player) within 300 yards of you you deal 5% less damage and take 1% of your healthbar as damage per second, stacks.
StormTrooper Effect – Despite being an elite heroic marksman that saved the world from an elder dragon, all your attacks miss.
The Belmont Effect – Every time you take direct damage, even a single point’s worth, you fly backwards 10 feet. This may make you fall off of ledges, miss jumps, and tumble to your death down stairs.
I was thinking the Gambits from the Queen’s Gauntlet would be applied to them. Permanent unremovable burning, no endurance, etc.
All skills instantly fire off as soon as their cooldown expires.
All physical damage reduces by 50% , all condition damage increased by 100% . Wow , condition builds no longer useless
All skills instantly fire off as soon as their cooldown expires.
That’s an design instability that already covers the entire game.
Hum… how about something like “Heaven or Hell” from DMC?
You have only the #1 skill and it’s melee ( ranging would be too easy :P ). You kill stuff in one hit and they one-shot you as well
Btw, you can only get fractals without lots of ranged mobs like uncategorized and ascalon

Every group would be 5 thieves for that one.
I would play daily whichever fractal level has the friendly fire isntability
