This thing is obviously hitting the ground, like calling something or provoking somthing to awake/dig outside.

Thumpers keep the antlions at bay, Mr Freeman.

There is another in Mount Malestrom.. south east of Broken Arrow WP.. in the stream.

Hmm wonder if we’ll be getting either sand worms or graboids next.

There is also one in gendarren fields close to the aetherblade jumping puzzle…interesting…

Probably the dredge are just making butter out of cream.

It’s a giant bug zapper. In the next LS chapter, we will be invaded by the Yars. Scarlet will teleport them here and they will have their revenge on us all.

I want to care what is next so so much but I already know who is behind it, what they think they want, know what it will likely contain, etc. So I am just going to flat out ignore it because there is nothing of interest in the living story anymore. Their head story writer at this time is just bad.

I already turn off npc comments, turn off my sound, and even go as far as to just tab out due to some of the story right now while I rack up my achievement points for each meta. As that is the only good part of living story right now. Free achievement points.

When the forcefield appeared over the lake in Kessex Hills I thought what a great way to introduce the next LS chapter, then I found out it was scarlet. So yeah I’m not getting too excited about this one or any other hints in the future until Scarlet is finished with.

The fact that the objects are called DO NOT TOUCH I bet someone just messed up a prop or something. Like the DELETE ME achievement category around Dragon Bash and Sky Pirates.

If not, I have absolutely no idea. There still isn’t much of a plot going for the LS so, those objects could be anything.

The DO NOT TOUCH is there on purpose. Once you do touch it it knocks you back and then a text box opens up saying something along the lines of “it said not to touch” or something like that.

I guess my second statement applies then. Since there’s no real plot, it’s nearly impossible to speculate what those pillars could be hinting at. At least for me.

Someone with seemingly unlimited resources and manpower to be able to build these things across an entire continent, someone who has unlimited reach and can do anything and get away with anything and can never be caught no matter what she does and can go head on against the armies of 5 races…

Technically.. that’s been the basis for every living story update aside from Tequatl and Fractals…lulz

I read that and didn’t really get it. I assumed it had something to do with Fractured, but maybe not. If that’s the case, then it’s weird that we get no mail talking about the stuff happening in FotM.

To me it’s pointing to the next instalment of Living Story once this tower is over with. I hope it’s something fresh and a good change. Also allies are never a bad thing, perhaps new playable races soon!? O.O

Whatever all this is, I’m just glad they are doing another teaser thing like for Nightmares. I hope the pay off is better though.

And of course it’ll be Scarlet. She’s the main villain of the LS right now. Fractured and Wintersday will be the two break releases we always get between story ones. Those pillars are probably for the release after Wintersday which will be a story one.

Interesting…. it seems like a combination between a Tesla Coil and a Pumpjack. Maybe Scarlet is trying to extract energy from the Ley Lines?

Just found one in Cursed Shore. That was unexpected. Usually the LS stuff does not touch Orr.

There is one in the borderlands, too. Right next to NE supply camp.
I don’t remember on which borderland I was when I saw it since I move a lot between WvW maps, but I believe there must be one on each borderland.

Not that I ever cared about GW lore. And I actually liked Scarlet’s first appearance. I thought it was over afterwards. But now everything is tied to her, wich is just ridiculous.

Yeah, she’s behind the dragons and everything else…

Or they write themsevles out of the corner by making her a dragon or whatever lazy excuse they find to reboot the living world story once they finally fired the so called “writer” and hire someone that actually can write.

that is clearly refering to new players joining the game, thats about it. The part about influence and guilds should have been a dead give away. :/

Likely tied to what was discussed briefly in the fractal story.

I’m waiting for the curveball one day where they create a LS arc and everything that would normally point to Scarlet ends up being some random dude.
