I’d really recommend Cynical for european players aswell. I’m GMT +1 and we have loads of guildies active during so-called EU daytime. Best choice I’ve done was to move to CD and join Cynical. No issues what-so-ever playing on a NA server and a great and active community 24/7.

I love this guild. Activities going on pretty much every night, always a crowd to chat with.. Some of the most mature and friendly players I’ve ever gamed with. They’re as happy to play with veterans as they are to teach newbies like me the ropes. Come play with us! You won’t be disappointed.

Last nights WvWvW was a blast, we accomplished things and had fun!!! Tonight is Dungeon night and we have some new PvE events coming up! Join the fun.

Like the guild name, is there a more or less equal spread of play across PvE, sPvP, and Wv3? Do you guys have active chat most of the time (voice – I saw the vent part, but I’m curious if it’s used practically all the time)?

I’m a bit of an altaholic, but I’ll get to 80 some day, do pretty well in sPvP though. So far most of the guilds I’ve been in are either extremely focused on one thing (Wv3) or don’t have an active community on any front really.

Highest level is 35, rank 17…i think…atm.

We have a scheduled Guild Event every night – Tues/Thurs are PVE nights, Wed/Fri/Sat are Wv3 nights, and Sun/Mon Spvp nights. Most of our members tend to spread out across all activities.

As for Guild chat, yes it’s active the majority of the time, unless of course it’s very late or early. Ventrilo is manditory for all guild events, but we do not force our members to be on it at all times. During peak times we tend to always have members on vent, but during the day when people work it’s pretty quiet.

We have a very active community in Cynical, with approx 30-40 members online during peak times, an active forum community, and active vent presense. We do not focus on one particular aspect of the game, but rather have Officers, teams, and nights dedicated to each aspect of the game. We find it much more fun not to limit ourselves.

All I gotta say is Holy crap. The first nite of WvWvW I sat in for 6 hours just messing round in Borderlands. It honestly was the most fun I’ve had since playing this game. The guild grp is wicked fun to roll with and the leadership is spot on. Anytime I have or had a question they were more then willing to fill me in. The second nite of WvWvW we came in at a huge loss only to help take the castle withing 3 hours. The teamwork is awsome and the guild members work pretty dang good together.

IMO if ur looking for a good WvWvW guild ya most def need to check this one out. To much fun to not even check em out. Been playing MMO’s since back when “the other game” was released, have been in plenty of guilds and hands down this one is the best I have been in so far.

I’ve been with Cynical since launch, and one of the things I love is that there’s always something going on. Whether it’s an organized guild night for WvW or dungeons or not, people are always willing to group up and have fun. Not only that, but the community is warm to any questions and help out to the best of their ability.

Cynical is the best guild I’ve been in for 7 years of playing MMOs, I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a great group of people.

Fun, laid-back community with events every night of the week running the gamut from PvE to PvP and Wv3 in between – if you’re free, chances are there’s something to do and someone to do it with. As a WvW officer in Cynical I take great pride in participating in WvW nights wednesdays, fridays, and saturdays. The guild listens, there’s no little kids screaming, and we accomplish objectives and everyone has a blast. If you want to get big into WvW, join us! (Our PvE and Spvp sections are cool too, but WvW FTW!)

A couple of questions:

1) I’m new to Guild Wars (my highest level is 40) but definitely not new to MMO/PVP. I played WOW for quite a bit. So.. no 80’s.. yet… would you still consider me?

2) Crystal Desert – would it be possible to xfer there even though I keep checking and it says it’s “full”?

All servers are currentely showing “very high” which means they are open. Anet just raides the population cap, so you should have no problems, we just had a member xfer over a few mins ago

Personality is far more important than experience. These guys take in newbies (me) with very little experience (ME) but a willingness to learn and participate pretty much all the time. Great group. I’ve learned a lot and had fun doing it. ;-)

As others have already said, we have dedicated nights for dungeons, sPvP and WvW so there’s a crowd for everything. And groups are always forming during the weekends as well. You never have to be shy about asking.

But really what sets us apart is the people. There’s always someone on to talk to or rant about thieves to. Cool people. Come check us out.
